Two great wins this weekend!
Big win over UTSA - a tournament team - yesterday. We really took it to them with a fast, diverse offense, good serving and terrific blocking. Newcomers are looking awesome and the returners are stepping up

This is one the most impressive wins in the past several years. We've beaten a few good teams, but it was really only when the other team was down, or Iowa won sloppily. This was a win over a very solid team and we actually outclassed them.

(Here's hoping Bond doesn't raise is voice during practice this week and have Barta fire him.

I think all we can hope for is Iowa to improve. I am tired of seeing our ladies at the very bottom of the B1G.

They may have been swept in the match, but they played pretty strongly against the 17th ranked Wildcats out west, and the announcers had almost written off the Wildcats in the second set when Iowa went way up before they lost on a comeback by the Wildcats that must have had Iowa feel like the Ball State football team last weekend.

The team is back in action in Brookings, SD this weekend.

Iowa already defeated Eastern Illinois in 3 sets earlier today. They are currently facing North Dakota.

They face Florida International and South Dakota State on Saturday.

I know this isn't the top level competition, but, coming home at 8-2 is pretty nice!
BIG match Sat against ISU.
Will really see where they are.

I will be curious to see how they compete with ISU. I am also curious as to how the B1G season will go. They have really been a non-factor to be polite in B1G play.
