Was having the BTT in DC a success? Will it be a success in NYC next year?

do you feel that the tourney in DC was a success?

Is Delany right in having it on the east coast every so often or should it stay in the Midwest permanently?

I would have to google it because i have no idea what the attendance figures turned out to be. Once maryland got eliminated, that probably hurt ticket sales, i would imagine. Also, I don't know at this moment what the TV ratings ended up being.

Yep, once Maryland and Rutgers were added 3 years ago, other changes were inevitable. I could blame Penn State for "starting this all" but with the way college athletics are set up, this kind of expansion was probably always going to happen in some form or another. There's the famous old saying that the only things certain in life are death and taxes. I would emphasize "change" as well.

How many Iowa fans actually attend the B1G tourney on a regular basis? Is 1000 or less about right? If true we are crabbing about where this is played?

I don't know the specifics on the numbers, etc., but I like the idea of the tournament remaining in Indianapolis or Chicago ... On the flip side, I've never traveled to the B10 tourney ... I would "think" maybe the Chicago or Indianapolis locations would have a but more fan energy ... then again, I'm guessing there are a lot of B10 transplants out East ... In a nutshell, I have no idea WTH I am talking about ...

There's something else in play here than just how many fannies in the stands are there and that is 'advancing the brand' into the new markets we just brought in D.C. & NY/NJ. Recruits & dollars to be earned.

Yeah, we are invading ACC territory and I am sure they don't like it

I go every year since the Lickliter years (I know). Chicago is closer for me, but Indy downtown area has more options for food/drinks near the stadium.

It should stay in the Midwest but it won't.

If it were about the best location for the majority of fans with the most easily accessible location with the best amenities for the price it would be in indy, with chicago a distant second.
But we all know that is not what this is about.
