Was The 1999 Offense Better Than The 2017 Offense?

I struggle with this question as the struggled of 1999 are often what we look at it when we think of the rebuilding Ferentz did in the early years. I'd argue our wide receivers were much better. We had Kevin Kasper, Bashir Yamini, and Chris Oliver. We LaDell Betts are running back who was in the NFL was several years. The OL struggled, but guys who might turn out to be the best starting five ever under KF.

No, and you’re an idiot

Either quit drinking or stay off the internet tonight. Do one of the 2and you’ll be fine. Really the 1-10 99’ team team if really wanted to troll least pick something more realistic like 07’ or 12’ squads that struggled on O.

Khalil Hill and Austin Wheatley both got drafted. Only wide receivers in kirk era to see NFL outside mcnutt were the ones he inherited if I recall correctly. Too bad qb and line were so bad but definitely some future NFLers with Kasper and Betts

I respect the 1999 team for not quitting. Gave Minnesota a tough fight in the final game of the season. But that team was 1 win and 10 losses, including 49-3 at Michigan State, 41-3 to Wisconsin, 41-11 to OSU, 31-7 against PSU and 42-7 to Nebraska.

I will always feel bad for Ladell Betts. He deserved a better supporting cast than he had during 4 pretty much miserable years at Iowa.
