Wash vs PSU

What's with missing that obvious targeting against Washington? That was dangerous and stupid, exactly why they came up with that rule, and THAT's one they miss? That Wash player should be done for the day.

Officials have missed three plays already, all in favor of Washington. About to be #4 if they rule this an INT (ball clearly hit the ground). The powers-that-be obviously want to keep this one close so they don't lose viewers, but Penn State is otherwise just bitch-slapping Washington. Talent-wise, they don't look like they belong on the same field.

The BIG was known as a slow and plodding conference incapable of playing big in bowls. That was the narrative just six years ago.

Even after Ohio State beat Alabama it was thought they were the outlier. I think that thought needs to go the way of the dinosaur.

McElroy said these were the two best teams from their respective conferences. If that is the case the Pac 12 is lagging.

Ohio State and Penn State look far better than their west coast foes(so far) The lineplay is the difference from what I see.

Watching the B10 bowl games this year, I think that narrative will be dropped. Well, it should be. Ohio State was much faster than USC. Penn State is running circles around Washington. MSU owned WASU in every possible way. Northwestern was every bit as fast as Kentucky. Even Purdue looked faster than Arizona. With that field in Yankee Stadium, it was impossible to tell who was faster, but given Wadley's success, I'd say Iowa gets the nod.

Line play, toughness, speed, PSU is better in every way. Washington's one TD came by way of bad officiating for a stretch otherwise it'd probably be 35-0 instead of 28-7. This is fun!

If I were Cleveland I would pick Barkley number 1(poor guy lol). Take Lamar Jackson number four or whatever. This guy is a baller, Rosen is a flake from what I have heard.

I think you're right. I'm not sure about Jackson that high, but there are enough good QBs in the draft to trade down. I'm no so convinced Sam Darnold is NFL ready after watching him against OSU. Rosen doesn't want to go there so forget that. Trade down, get extra picks, and pick up Mason Rudolph, Jackson, Josh Allen, Mayfield, someone in that range. And get a 1st round OL, too.

Washington's best chance is for Penn State to beat themselves and/or hope the officials give them (make up) calls. They're not going to be able beat them straight up.

Good for Barley for playing today. And as despicable as the PSU scandal was, it has nothing to do with the current PSU football team. Let it go.

Glad to see the BIG mowing down the opposition. If PSU eliminates the TOs, they'll win this one by 40.

And as one of the announcers said, this is why we need an 8-team playoff. Let's play it on the field instead of in the halls of the CFP meeting room.
