2017 Big Ten Opponents Determined for Iowa
Hawkeyes meet 3 teams twice, 10 teams once

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa women’s basketball program learned its home and away, and single-play matchups for the 2017 Big Ten Conference season Monday morning.

The Hawkeyes will play Illinois, Maryland, and Rutgers home and away. Iowa meets the remaining league teams once, welcoming Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Wisconsin to Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and traveling to face Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue on the road.

Dates, tip times, and television information will be announced at a later date.

They have the two long East coast games for both Rutgers and Maryland, Penn State and Ohio State both on the road. So that is all four of the longest road trips they can have. And only one game each against the border states except Illinois. Not really a favorable schedule.
They are dropping back to 16 B1G games this year (down from 18) so it will be interesting to see the two added non-conference games.
