IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa freshman point guard Tania Davis underwent surgery on her non-shooting shoulder this morning. She is expected to miss 5-6 months.

Davis, who played in 30 games with 16 starts, led the Hawkeyes in assists (111) this season. She is the second freshman in program history to dish out more than 100 (Samantha Logic, 136). Davis averaged 8.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest, and was second in steals with 37.

Best of luck in a quick recovery to Tania.
If she had the surgery done in Iowa City, she's getting
World Class care

Another bit of uncertainty for next season. Would like to have watched her in the GTL this summer.
