That's fine if you WOULDN'T, I was just commenting on how she improved the last 5 games. Name someone lately from Iowa that didn't shoot in streaks fo]rom 3. They have all done that A LOT.
I can envision a packed Carver with the two sides of the stadiums chanting back and forth….

Cmon. I'm basing that on her FIVE years in college, not a couple of game streaks. Did you read Brandons post? Basically under 30% for her career. And frank;y even percentages don't tell the whole story. CC22 was under 40% BUT she's still elite because she'd drag defenders out to 35 ft opening the offense, and she could get off a good shot closely guarded. Meanwhile McCabe was around 45% which is basically an elite shooter, BUT she can' create her own shot and needs to be open and unguarded. All things are not equal....
For whatever it's worth, no one from Iowa appears to be following Melannie Daley on Instagram. That was a pretty good sign of Iowa's interest with Chit-Chat and so far nothing similar with Daley.
All curious stuff. Whatever happens I think it's good Jensen is actively looking, and not banking on any one player. All good players too!
Skim Milkey commit prediction or only leading contender?
As others have stated for prior visiting prospects, if they go on another visit, closing the deal gets harder.
However, if the Auburn visit cancellation posted by @jaxhawk06 is true, it may suggest this is Chit-Chat's last visit.
But something else happened yesterday also, an Auburn guard (Kaitlyn Duhon) withdrew from the portal. Is that why Chit-Chat cancelled the Auburn visit or was it that we closed the deal with her?
Originally Kaitlyn Duhon committed to Texas A&M on 4/1/25. Then yesterday, I saw a change from Texas A&M to withdrew in Talia Goodman's tracker.
Maybe the Kaitlyn Duhon withdrawal back to Auburn helps us seal the deal?

Ok, well I was wondering why we didn't have at least a coach's inkling post (your rachel link) that an imminent announcement was coming soon. That's why I did a little sleuthing on that Auburn withdrawal when a post like yours just now didn't show up later in the day yesterday.
Anyways, that Milkey gif seemed to show up earlier in the day (before 1pm-ish). Can't find that Abby post on her IG account to see when it was posted. Seems that was posted later in the day but can't tell for sure. Usually IG shows me the latest post unlike twitterX. Maybe only her followers can see that big news coming post.

She didn’t post the story until nighttime about 8:30pm. So way after the picture was taken.
See a red-ish, yellow-ish and purple-ish ring around her profile pic and when I click on it, they pop up a login screen. Don't have an IG acct or an acct for any of these popular social media platforms.
Anyways, it looks Skim Milkey got his gif intel from somewhere else then and not from Abby's post if she posted it so late.

It is a great get if it doesn't effect any of the 2026 recruits.....
but Iowa did need a PG bad, was just hoping for a 1 year kind of deal
Ignoring which player is better, it does put Iowa in the same class breakdown situation they were with Guyton on the team.

I think the only pg we are targeting is harpring as a recruit. GT was on her list. They had 3 pgs. Shoot their was one i wanted before I found out about Wright.
It's all about culture and Jan emphasized that in her last interview. Which i loved. Thats why we are where we are with all the visits.
If so we happen to get harpring then we do.(longshot). U don't think she'd come in expecting to start. If Wright doesn't like that she'll transfer assuming we get her. But Wright with her shot can play the 2 also. Then switch on d
True. Wright was a higher prospect that guyton. Which usually doesn't mean anything.
But she showed more last season. She can break a press and shoot logo 3's.
Guyton, I wish her the best. But she didn't show that.
This girl played in the sec which is a tough conference. GT had 3 pgs. She made a name for herself getting all those minutes
I don't think Skim posts the school gifs unless they know someone is signing with the school. Skim also reported that they knew Chit Chat was going to Iowa before the staff did
Yeah the order as far as the public eye is concerned was:
1 - Skim Milkey GIF + 'I don't think so, I know so' (early afternoon?)
2 - Abby Stamp story mentioning sharing big news w/team (evening-early night)
BUT obviously it was light in that pic and it must have been taken earlier in the day. Skim Milkey did also mention, close to releasing the GIF, that the Iowa staff might not have even known about the commit at that point, which makes me think the source must have been an agent or close friend/family. There was also a theory floated on Burner Ball that Skim Milkey IS Chit Chat
Guyton struggled against the press a little early (not a shocker),, and wa very accurate from 3 early. She also ws able to drive early. As the competition got harder, and she wa relyed on to make more decisions her shot dropped of and she was more prone to driving into the trees without a plan. Chit Chat could easily have some of these same issues as she ajusts to the Iowa system, but she will not have as many other freshman around her. The long three can stretch the floor, shich was a problem at times last year.
Would love to see Chit Chat drain one from the 22 logo then reach down and give the logo a high five

Of the 6 teams mentioned Iowa City is a 5 hour drive from her home in Wayzata Minn. I would hopefully think this could go into her decision as far as friends and family being able to come see her in person. I know it's a reach.

Am I the only one that thinks that Abby stamp post is regarding to a Caitlin Clark statue outside of Carver in the place where gables was?
It could be, but Chit-Chat is committing unless something goes very wrong.
Ok that's awesome but I am going by the picture more than the words. I may be way off but that was my first thought anyway.

I don't think it impacts Harpring. As @Hawkeyes2133 said, I think Wright could play the 2 if needed. In that regard, Wright is maybe a better fit than Williams or Aarnisalo, who still have questions about their three-point shots.
In a world where Harpring commits to Iowa before Lewis or Kussow make decisions it's possible Wright's presence makes it less likely that Iowa gets Lewis or Kussow since Harpring, Wright, and Deal would be the presumed starters. But I'd classify that as a good problem to have.
Can you imagine Deal, chit.chat and Harpring out on the floor at the same time? Scoring from everywhere, assist being dished out everywhere, our BIGS will be very active and happy. but I know, first thing first we have to get Harpring to commit 🤞. A guy can dream can’t he?
This is a good get at a position of need but let's not go too overboard. Her numbers are just slightly better than the point guard we just lost.
Anyone rated as high as Harping will end up at a school that already has highly rated guards, and those schools will continue to recruit highly rated guards.
so with Chit-Chat now on board does that mean there are two open rosters spots left?
