Zero Covid has been a disaster. There have been riots in cities all across China, and things are once more being ratcheted down as another wave of cases hits. Their economy is scuffling mightily. Xi has claimed a 3rd term, and has not presented anything close to a plan of succession. Xi continues to accumulate power, wield power, and abuse power breaking long standing norms.

Speaking with a high-ranking military official over the past few months, we were surprised by Russia because of the attention our country watches China. The focus is not Russia-Ukraine.

A plan of succession? He is Putin with out a war and will be Dear Leader until he dies or is assassinated.

It's unusual that he went over 2 terms, and he's neutered the central committee. There was a bizarre scene with Hu Jintao at the big meeting a few weeks ago. Is he locking up power to go beyond a 3rd term?
He's changing the rules, it seems.

China's window to become the dominant world power is closing quickly. They were already going to have a demographics problem due to the one child policy and COVID made it even worse. I'd expect China to become hyper aggressive on the world stage in the next few years as they become more and more desperate.
Businesses are diversifying their production out of China. China is clearly a huge player, but people are learning they are unreliable.

So what’s after hyper aggressive? Ludicrous aggressive?

The protests continue to spread, and are getting larger as the regime struggles to determine how to handle the disobedience, and how to handle the messaging over who to blame for recent failures to manage the economy and Covid? It can't be Xi's fault, that is for sure.

Apparently China has "flooded Twitter with porn" to make the information on the protest less visible.

Covid presented governments with the ability to control its population, China seems to be taking that the furthest.

I think mu-shu is an underrated Chinese dish.

People rarely order it, but if you think about it, it is Asia's answer to the burrito.

A little mu-shu pork with duck sauce is delish.

Passive aggressive protesting is my favorite thing to come out of 2022.

If you can’t protest against Covid tests and lockdowns, protest for more of them.

One of the cooler things I have seen reported is that the protestors are singing the national anthem of China, and the media is scrubbing out the words that say something to the effect of, "rise up, don't be a slave".

China is seeing record rates of infection.
Their vaccine is s***, and the Chinese people are resistant to taking any kind of vaccine. If China eases it's Zero Covid policy, they risk a massive wave of deaths as the majority of their population has not received a single booster shot.
And, while all of this is going on the US stock market took a tumble today.

So what does someone like you think when you hear WEF Klaus Schwab say “the Chinese model is certainly a very attractive model for quite a number of countries.”

I hope the way Covid was handled around the world starts to get scrutinized more and more. We gave up our freedoms for lockdowns that had no precedent or evidence. I don’t know about you but I want those years back.

Fair warning, twitter isn't like pornhub or the goat (xnxx) so you can't tell it you are only into chicks. If you search something like #cumshot prepare to see some dudes. You will learn # that bring up only chick's.

That would be a significant change from the way China has been...well, forever, but given Xi's meglomania I certainly can't rule it out either.

I imagine they are also trying to figure out how they can roll the tanks in again and not have it broadcast all over the world.

You make it sound like you're going to publish your diary of the "Covid Years" soon. You had to stay home and use your computer for work. We weren't locking ourselves in the attic of a home for 2 years. Cripes.

Our worlds economy is getting its ass kicked 2 years later, school children have shown serious negative impact, thousands if not tens of thousands of small businesses were lost, people passed away and were not even able to be with loved ones, people had babies and were not able to have loved ones there, we weakened the shit out of our immune systems and are now dealing with the fall out from that, but yea dude.... it was the mask people cared about.

Millions of people got laid off. Peoples savings are gone. All of you fools don’t think it was that big of a deal. Hopefully you don’t buy in on the next one. Maybe some people will get to keep their businesses
