We can still beat Wisconsin, Michigan & Nebraska.

I agree in theory that we could win those 3 games. With the effort shown Saturday we could easily lose all 3 and another 1 or 2 as well. This team is simply not good enough to look past any opponent, including Rutgers.

Unless we were sand bagging in the non confr schedule and were only showing 1/4 of our offensive and defensive play calling options there will be issues winning those games..

Of course. The games haven't been played yet. Theoretically they could win out.
But, realistically, they won't.
scUM is the real deal again. Put that one in the L column.
wisky and nebby remain to be seen. Depends on how beat up they get in conference play and how much Iowa improves. I think it's going to take some of both for Iowa to win those games.
Right now, as things stand, I'd say Iowa wins 1 of wisky/nebraska. So I'll take them going 1-2 in those games.

Stfu and quit making us all look bad.
Actually, how can you fault
Michigan is going to curb stomp us and Harbaugh will enjoy running up the score on Kurt and the boys. Wisconsin and Nebraska will be fairly close ones which could go either way.
I watched the Nebraska game Saturday and in no way will that be close. The Rutgers game will be close.

The loss to NDS doesn't change the race for the B1G title. Considering the schedules, ( and while it pains me to re-affirm this), I still believe Iowa is best positioned to finish on top.

Interesting fact about Nebraska.
Before Purdue: 3-6
After Purdue: 6-1
With wins against Michigan State, Rutgers,UCLA, Fresno State, Wyoming and Oregon.
Only loss is to Iowa.

I have no doubt we CAN beat WI and NE(will we? We'll see)
Not so sure about MI....seems most on this forum don't give them the credit they deserve.

Michigan - 50
Iowa - 14
Iowa will be fine. You guys are over reacting to a tough day. Take away the holding call and Iowa has another 80 yards rushing and a 21-7 lead. I'm a Michigan grad but was at the game...Iowa will give an overrated Michigan team all it can handle.
Iowa is a solid team and very capable of running the table. So quit hitting the panic button and see what next week brings. I'm certain the optimism will return.

Losing the game against NDSU didn't bother me. It's how we lost. I knew that our receivers, outside of Vandenberg, were weak this year. I thought our safeties would be weak. I thought our OL and DL would be dominant. I didn't think anyone would be able to slow down our running game. I expected our OL to give Beathard time to make plays. I saw a FCS team with 22 less scholarships come in and manhandle both lines harassing Beathard every time he threw the ball and shutting down Daniels.

At this point, I'd be surprised if we won 2 of those games and expect us to win 1.

I think we lose 1 or 2 more games this regular season. NDSU is a good team. Period. We got out coached and out played man to man. I think we rally big time. I think this year will be full of very close games. Fun to watch! That final game v. little debbie is going to be a good one.

Don't think Michigan is anywhere near as overrated as Iowa is/was.

Don't need to be Michigan to win the west. If we can beat Wisconsin and Nebraska and lose any other 2 games to finish 7-2 in conference we'll almost assuredly end up in Indy.

Wisconsin will lose at least one of their non-Iowa games, and I don't see Nebraska winning in The Shoe.

A multi team tie at 6-3 is actually very conceivable.

You mean the phantom holding call.......That call was total BS and that crew should be fined.......

You're better than that, right? Iowa has benefited from phantom calls and out right no calls as well. You have to take the good with the bad and hope it evens out.

Losing to NDSU was bad. Losing to a team that lost to NDSU is even worse.

You're on the clock Michigan, Wisconsin, & Nebraska. Don't mess this up :oops::)

One game doesn't change this fact.

Before the season started, I felt like we'd be 3-0 against them...or damn close. Any given Saturday. We just saw this first hand.

Our goals are still out there. I haven't given up on this team. I hope you haven't either Hawkeye brethren. We can still take the West.
Keep in mind; Submitting to reality is the next step in the 12 step program.

There is no way Iowa wins all there games against Wisconsin, Michigan and Nebraska. One of three is a reasonable expectation.

I'll bet you $100 dollars to the charity of our respective choice that Iowa takes 2/3.

Gentleman's bet, no handshake needed. I'll post the receipt of my payment if you win.

On Iowa!

Well, Iowa is no longer overrated -- though maybe in the coaches poll (25th). Michigan looks like a legit top ten team, but not a playoff team, IMO. I see 'Bama, OSU, Louisville, and Stanford in the CFP this year. Lots of games to play yet, but those teams are sticking out as the real contenders right now.

Certainly......however, it doesn't mean that I can't still be pissed about that call........Great teams would have overcome that call and I understand that.......

Technically speaking Iowa could win all their remaining games.

In theory, Iowa could win every football starting Saturday until the end of time.

On a serious note, Iowa's last three Big Ten Championship years all involved a non-conference loss. So, I don't see this season as a lost cause yet. There are numerous examples of Iowa playing like absolute crap in September and then playing very well by November.
