Could get Wichita State too. The inverse of the way I wanted it to happen. I was hoping that would be for the finals, not the consolation. But good competition. I like it.

I liked the young guys getting some minutes against quality opponents. Although not from bogus officiating. That and I think Fran should have balanced more experience with the newbies.... That said, that Baer could become a very good player. He moves wells and is head smart. Some more refining, experience, and 20 lbs of meat will help.

Baer made a bad entry pass in the first half that led to a run out but I have to say I am surprised with his play. He's not the most athletic guy but makes up for it with hustle and smarts. He made several nice plays in the second half. Good find.

The board in the arena says 7 pm start as does iowa page and espn. The arena announcer kept saying 6:30. I wonder which is correct.

I am guessing ESPN thought it would be Monmouth vs Iowa/Dayton and didnt' care. Now that its ND/Iowa I am guessing they are 2nd guessing that decision. Oh well glad I get it and can watch on the phone/computer.

This is a great chance for the hawks to play a top level team. ND will be a top team in ACC this year. So if the hawks can just play smart and learn from last night they should be fine.

We catch a break here actually. A chance to play ND and Wichita State, both of which would be quality wins, and neither of which would be bad losses. Dayton won't be a bad loss either.

I couldnt figure out why the announcer in arena kept saying 6:30 when the time on board in lobby says 7. The people i was sitting next to(shocker fans) were also confused
