"Son, I'm sorry this happened to you. It's terrible!"

When alone, "Nice going boy, proud of you."

SMH, that girl could go to the bar and probably have her pick of guys to take home. Yet she's nailing a 14 year old. (lucky bastard)

That's because she has a particular attraction to boys.

Some might call her a pedophile.

Honestly we should just say the word when it comes to women.

And that boy is not any luckier than a 14 year old girl who's male teacher had sex with her.

Yeah I'm sure. That boy has no more capacity to choose sex than a 14 year old girl.

Both might say they enjoy it at the time. Both might say they enjoyed it into adulthood. Neither one matters.

And women enjoy sex too. We have this weird thing where we like to pretend they don't.

You honestly think the dynamics around sex and the power disparity issue involving sexuality are identical in male and female teenagers?

I think that is woefully naiive.

He's luckier then I was at 14. Then again my 14 year old self had a pretty hot girlfriend. A little light on experience though.

We do?

Edit: I'm probably so bad that I have to pretend she DID enjoy it.

We do when it comes to this. We imagine a teenage boy as being lucky for getting sex with a teacher but we view a girl as a victim who will be scarred for life. We never even consider or discuss that she might have enjoyed the sex too, a statement we go straight to when it comes to a teen boy.

One student said they knew something was up when she took attendance and had a Freudian slip of “Johnson…Lightner…McMillan…Hammer Cock…I mean, O’Reilly.”

I get it. However, realistically we're celebrating a kid having sex, but we wouldn't be if it were a girl. That's all I'm saying.
It is a double standard.

It is also likely some 14-year-old boys might be damaged by having sex with a sexy hot 20-something-year-old teacher.

But the double standard is supported by many - including women - for a reason. Sexual dynamics and power dynamics are just not the same between teen boys and adult women compared to teen women and adult men. I think that's quite well-understood and accepted by most, hence the double standard being accepted by the majority.

Hell, just compare the movies "American Pie" with "American Beauty"

One is about the fun hijinx a horny male teenager has with a sexy, lascivious single mom of one of his friends. The other is a chilling portrayal of a middle aged man in a midlife crisis damaging a young teen girl through seducing her.

The reason the stories are portrayed that way are based on how our society treats the sexual power dynamics based on gender roles. And society treats the issue this way due to lived experience.

You're using a lot of "we" in this. I know I don't speak for everyone but I am definitely not a part of that "pretending" group.

I get what you mean. I was more referring to women in general and the "pretending they don't like it" part.
