That’s what makes it hurt worse. We beat Wisconsin and we got a legit shot at making the B1G title game. Now the season starts spinning into normal Iowa style. Drop a couple games we shouldn’t and stuck around 8 wins. See y’all in AZ this year for the cactus bowl vs Washington State.
This. We are close but we need to crack the code. Reset, regroup bye week kill the gophers. Don't let this ruin the season.
I do think we have a good team but we have to eliminate dumb mistakes. And yes, we need better play from our WRs. Our TEs are as good they come. Stanley played well tonight and the defense was solid. Just stop beating ourselves.

I don’t even know where to post this, and it’s mainly alcohol driven as I rarely post anything. I just need to say I’m sick of Ferentz having testicles the size of bb’s. I’m sick of the keep it close attitude, run the ball 90% of the time even when the passing game is looking good. After the OSU game last year I thought Kirk may have seen the light and realized the passing game can help your team out. Haven’t seen it since. Disappointing.
Hopefully my 1st and last negative post. Just frustrating that Kirk has no clue what it means to take it to another team. It’s such a loser attitude to just grind a game, take the air out of the ball, to maybe win or maybe lose at the end. The OSU game almost makes it worse to know we can pass against top notch teams, but we refuse.
I can’t wait to sober up and laugh about my post tomorrow.

Not great, better than average for a KF Iowa team. At least so far.
Still have a good shot to claim the 2nd spot in the west.
They can't let this loss affect their focus next week. 7-2 in the B1G is still possible. 6-3 would be OK. Just don't end up 5-4 or worse.

Tonight was the first time this year I thought we had a decent downfield passing game. Of course it disappeared on the last two drives though.
I genuinely Iowa is better than Wisconsin. I'd take a rematch with this team any day. We just made catastrophic mistakes.

This is very true. Just sucks losing to Wisconsin again....I know the players certainly feel that way. I'm glad they have a week off to regain composure as this one is going to feel like a punch in the gut for the rest of the season.
Hockenson had a 46 yarder on a broken pass play. Fant had a 20 yard reception. The other 3 receivers managed 6 catches for under 100 yards (96). Not stretching the field. Too many missed opportunities.
The team is good but showed in this game why it is not great. Difficult to watch some of these games where the little things and certain play calls and mentality cost the game. A number of things looked really good tonight. A few glaring issues showed up.
