We have some Twitter drama.

The more followers you get from the schools that are recruiting you, the more "f you's" and "I hope you tear your ACLs" you get on Twitter when you choose a different school.

Also, as a fan, please never tweet at a recruit. It is creepy

You would be amazed what some people tweet at these kids. I dont mind the #swarm or the gifs of players (Josh Jackson's int is popular) when a player talks about a school, but trying to explain why your school is good and some other school is crap is super creepy.

I cringe when I read the stuff both positive and negative.

Isn't excitment in the Iowa program and fan base a good thing? This young man is just pumped, i love it

#1 - Grown men (or women) should not be tweeting high school or college players. It's weird enough that adults follow them (no offense wasn't drunk, someones got to do it).

#2 - Tyler is completely correct.

#3 - DJK is unfortunately, completely correct.

None taken, I dont follow any of the kids, I see the things I post on here when one of media guys retweets it. Sometimes when I see it I will go to the persons profile to make it easier to read for you guys on here.

The only person I follow that isnt "media" is davion Nixon's (sp) father. Mainly because the dude is hilarious and SUPER pro Hawkeye. Plus I dont feel as weird following an adult.

I'd leave out the word "completely" (but give you points for not using "absolutely").

As for the drama angle, anytime DJK starts to speak we hold our breath for just a second. ;)

I'd say "completely" works pretty well here. His points:

"but it’s also a different climate with that social media and players stuff."
No sure how someone can argue that. Is is applicable in all cases? Maybe not, but about everyone younger than 80 can understand how much social media has changed our culture, for better or for worse. I hate this type of stuff, but fully understand how it applies to college football recruiting now. Look no further than our Tyler Barns or Kevin Bell (who are doing awesome by the way).

"it’s here and it’s a major part of everything we do today."
See above.

"Ultimately he’s just showing excitement for a very exciting time of his life!"
I'd say this is pretty true. I was getting a few letters about possible walk on opportunities from a few P5 schools (Uncle Rico type not so subtle brag ;)) and I was probably insufferable around close friends/family with how excited I was. Imagine actually having schools fight over you.

Second part of your post, completely agree. LOL

I’m still waiting for DJK’s tell all book that he was getting published.

Twitter drama?
Twitter drama you say?
I think I speak for everyone when I say TWITTER is famous for mature behavior and honorable deportment. I can't ever see any other type of behavior being displayed on twitter.

You know it gets a little cray cray when the single most liked post I have seen In a long time evolves DJK being the voice of reason. (And him actually being so)
