Today on twitter.

As HawkDrummer indicated - you missed the text above the quote written by Joly. He was clearly trying to suggest that there was a parallel between the Patriots and the Hawks there. In many respects, there probably IS a direct parallel between the organizations ... especially considering that Ferentz is a Belichick disciple.

However, the intent seems to be trying to paint a negative picture of the Hawks there ... and my retort was simply that many former Hawks notice and appreciate that Ferentz is actively trying to develop them into well-rounded, hard-working young men ... who will be prepared to face the "real" world and be productive members in it. I would imagine that to Ferentz ... football itself might be viewed as a metaphor for life ... and he uses football as a means of preparing these young men for life. Some guys "get it" .... and apparently some don't.

I'm following you, I guess I didn't make the correlation between the text and its application to the quote. I thought he was just re-tweeting because he didn't like NE.

in my defense, a lot of people don't. haha
my apologies

No worries. Whenever I post something that is inaccurate ... I genuinely hope that somebody corrects me. Thanks for trying to keep me honest. I just happened to not be on crack when I posted that one ...

I personally think Britt really wants to come to Iowa and he is trying to bring Bell with him. It will be big if we make the top 5, especially if there are no other crossovers with Bells list.

At a bare minimum, Purdue will be a crossover since it’s been said that Iowa and Purdue are at the top for Britt and that Purdue likely leads for Bell.

I keep seeing pieces/articles on Iowa offering this kid, thanks for the clarification! Is it normal to see that amount of traffic/headlines on a PWO offer? Another Max Cooper type WR? He has a 37 inch vert right now, impressive..
One site shows that he played in only 4 games last season, had approx. 300 receiving yds and 1 receiving td. Needless to say I was befuddled by reports of a scholarship offer. PWO makes more sense.

I dont think this kid is anywhere near as fast as max. I mean no disrespect to this guy but possession recievers are not what this offense needs to hit the 2nd gear. Playmakers, we need playmakers I tell you.

Is Max our 4th/5th WR this year? Like his potential on PR as well, it sure seemed he has that extra gear in his limited action I've seen.

I think so. I think Max will see the field and if there are any injuries will be required to contribute. PR is an exciting spot this year. There have been several guys who have been mentioned as having game breaker potential. Groenwing has been spoken very highly of as well.
