What these dumb sons of b******s in Lincoln still can’t figure out is that character goes a long way in winning football games. Regardless of the coach, regardless of the recruiting rankings, regardless of the stats, Nebraska continues to lose to Iowa and post one garbage/mediocre season after the next, and it’s all because of character—specifically the lack thereof.

Iowa played their 4th string quarterback. A walk on. And still beat Nebraska. Let that marinate for a long time Debbie fans.

Oh, and yes, I am vocal about having Ferentz fatigue and being tired of ultra conservative play. I am a bad fan. I admit it. And yet I would still rather watch Brian Ferentz offensive football every year than have a classless son of a b*tch like Scott Frost or Matt Rhule on the Iowa sideline.

We might be more competitive in a bowl game than you think. The higher in the bowl pecking order we climb, the more teams with potential draft picks we will face. A lot of them will bypass a shit bowl to concentrate on combine and pro day prep. Meanwhile, the game will be Iowa’s Super Bowl and a shot for big ole KF to pick up another bonus for a meaningless game. Oh yeah, maybe not meaningless… he will get 15 more practices to work on dive left, dive right.
