Is it time to permaban the negative posters who hate to win tough, physical games?

Worst thing about a win like this (like so many the past 5 years) is that it becomes normalized, acceptable, and allows folks to create a”tough/gritty” narrative which masks the absolute absurdity of Iowas offense. It’s also a self-imposed obstacle….we become complicit in the lowering of expectations and the lowering of the ceiling of Iowa football.
The funny thing is, they think we’re surprised at how the Hawks won, when Iowa wins games while be as exciting on offense as watching paint dry for years 😂
That’s not going to happen as long as Kirk is at Iowa and you’re either in denial or just don’t want to admit it. Even Holgorsen said it - he coached in the 2001 Alamo Bowl vs Iowa and said “same coach, same scheme, same everything. It’s crazy.”
JFC...this was a 10 win season with that weak ass schedule.

They should have been banned years ago. They are bad for Iowa football
The oline was completely dominated. The defense had 4 sacks, 8 TFL'S, and allowed only 3.3 per rush.
Iowa fans still think giving up 10 points is too much.

Yeah that's right YOU have to accept it. Just what the $%& are YOU going to do other than watch (accepting it) and throw a tirade after the games.
No one should get banned or chased off the site, even if their constant negativity is just a drain, especially the people who make up things to bitch about. Their commentary represents the worst of Iowa fans but I assume they paid their money so they get to post their thoughts, however unpleasant and annoying those thoughts may be.
I think James needs to be banned for his "my way or the highway" Nazi-like censoring.

I will say this- You most certainly have to have really long arms with which you pat yourself on the back with.
To be clear, I’m thrilled we won and certainly enjoyed the end. Almost like ferentz is trolling them. With that said, it doesn’t change the fact it was really dreadful football by iowas offense.
4th string QB with a few weeks of taking first team snaps and probably with a very limited playbook. Timing routes non existent etc. What do people expect? An offensive juggernaut?

Fear cannot override what is inevitably going to happen. We should also realize that a new coach comes here and finds immediate success will move to a greater situation and more money/better weather/better recruiting just as quickly. No one appreciates Iowa like Iowans. We stay. They go.
I could see a real revolving door here. Unless you find the perfect hire. Kirk was the perfect hire. He put down roots and stability. Boring, boring stability.
And, success. Not enough, evidently. Donated money to great causes. Set many great examples of perspective on what life will present you. Put kids on the field you could root for. Some to hate. Put kids in the NFL.
And, stuck around while people treated him like garbage. Some people, anyway. And, I get it, to a point. I was done with him early in his career after a failure vs ISU. Done. A temper tantrum. Short sighted. He stuck around and provided many, many more moments to be proud.
That’s what this is all about. Pride.
We wanna smack talk with the big dogs. Strut around like we’re better. We’re not. We’re a cult of Iowa. Proud of where we’re from and expecting validation through sports. Sports are fun, but disappoint more often, than not when expectations are unreal.
