CJ is looking good so far. Has even rushed for 20 yards so far.

He looks like he belongs. Tried to have his first NFL TD pass go to Kittle, but it was a bit off the mark.

WRs can’t get much separation and OL can’t block long enough for them to get that separation. CJ should be familiar with this scenario.

He did have a big pass down field in the previous drive. NFL fans seem to be impressed. Seeing a Hawkeye as a starting QB is still hard to believe.

CJ can’t do much when his O line keeps collapsing.

CJ with a bad fumble on a hit in the red zone. GET THE BALL OUT QUICKER. He really stinks at sensing pressure and it's going to be his Achilles heel.

They said he was sacked 50 times as a hawkeye and is used to it. Looks like a bright future. Speaks volumes for Iowa football regardless of the ups and downs on Saturday's.

He has really bad flaws with pocket presence. I think this is something that can be taught by Shanahan over time, but the 49ers are going to have to be patient and CJ has got to stay healthy. He looked more confident out there than he should have today given the circumstances. He can manage a game at a high level.
