What’s with maga and their obsession with ivermectin?

A five-day course of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 may reduce the duration of illness

Why are you reposting bullshit from 2020 that's been debunked for well over 2 years now?

A five-day course of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 may reduce the duration of illness

A study led by the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) in partnership with Vanderbilt University found no differences in relief of mild-to-moderate COVID-19 symptoms between participants taking ivermectin and participants taking a placebo. These results confirm findings from a previous arm of the study that tested a lower dose and shorter duration of ivermectin.

“There was no significant benefit in our primary endpoint of resolution of symptoms in mild-to-moderate COVID-19 illness or any other endpoints,” said Adrian Hernandez, M.D., the study’s administrative principal investigator and executive director of the DCRI. “Given these results, and in conjunction with an earlier arm of the study testing a different dose of ivermectin, there does not appear to be any role for ivermectin in treating mild-to-moderate COVID-19
, especially considering other available options with proven reduction in hospitalizations and death.”

Who cares?
If people want to take it, let them.
Drs can't prescribe things just because patients want to take them. I suppose they can but it isn't ethical.

Theoretically a doctor could be held liable if they prescribe a drug that is inappropriate for the patient's condition and results in bad outcomes. Even if the patient specifically asks for the medication.

Because social media showed it to him and maga no like fact check.

FYI, Researchers figured out why "ivermectin" showed some early promise: because it was used in 2nd and 3rd world countries where the worm parasites ivermectin works against are commonplace. Giving people with unrelated parasitic worm infections ivermectin, when they have Covid, kills off those parasites and improved their health so they could survive Covid.

But it never worked against Covid at all. It only killed off the worms that were making them less healthy and more prone to dying from Covid.

So, if you have parasitic worms, you should take it. If not, then don't get defrauded by America's Frontline Doctors into "buying" a prescription for it, because they're just grifting you.

Literally why there were conflicting early reports about it: positive effects were seen in areas with poor hygiene and worms. No effects in 1st World countries w/o worms.

Time and again maga obsesses over the most bizarre stuff. And believes anything on social media that lines up with their views. Trans was their huge deal, some even are obsessed with sexual fantasies about Pelosi and Biden. Very odd folks.

MAGA and its cult leaders have weird obsessions. Greenland, ivermectin, bleach, lying, windmills, fascism, trans, anybody who isn’t Caucasian, democrats, Obama’s birth certificate, screwing people over, the media (except Fox), they are an obsessive group

Oh boy, you sure are smart...Given that, maybe you could enlighten me on just a couple other things:

Are eggs ok for someone with high cholesterol??

Does taking a daily multivitamin help with general health??

Does drinking 2 to 3 glasses of red wine a day extend life expectancy??

Does taking a daily baby aspirin prevent heart disease??

Does the Covid vaccine prevent the transmission of virus ( as stated unequivocally by health officials early on) or simply reduce the severity of disease??

Is jogging good for joint health??

If you can help me with these questions, there are hundreds more I'd like to ask...

By the way, I dont take Ivermectin and I've been vaccinated 7 times by my choice but I don't preach to others about their choices...

One of my many MAGA family members told me that Africa didn’t have a problem with Covid because of malaria drugs.

I failed HORT by not probing this stupidity more and bringing the inevitable hilarity to a thread here. Please forgive me.

Exiled from his family RFK Jr or whatever his name is will provide guidance on most of your questions. Hopefully his brain worm didn’t eat all the smart parts

Zuckerberg came out this week and turned on Biden and admitted the WH demanded they take down various content pertaining to therapeutics, vaccine injury, alternative medicine with threat of repercussion. Zuckerberg’s own words described the WH actions as illegal. Not a good look for the Biden presidency going into its last week.

People want to be free to determine their own care without the government subsidizing and shoving a single “cure” down its throat.

People seem to be confused. I just asked why is maga is obsessed with shilling ivermectin. I’m not preaching or telling them to not inject themselves with it. I have no qualms with thinning the herd.

Zuckerberg isn't exactly a reliable source for you here...

The RFK people would answer most of your questions with extreme confidence. They can also tell you without a doubt that lard and raw milk are good for you. You are a “sheep” if you question any of it.

There is a similar mindset with the ivermectin types. Sure, let them take it if they want but you might hear people talking about it being dumb. I’ve always found it strange how the ivermectin fans ignore other more effective treatments. I wonder what made them fixate on ivermectin? Hmmm….

Yep.
I am somewhat fascinated with these types of people who treat the contrarian theories as gospel, while wholesale rejecting conventional wisdom/prevailing thought (particularly when the prevailing thought is supported by significant empirical evidence). If those people used the same skeptical lens for the contrarian theories they digest and regurgitate, we’d see a lot less people falling for the ivermectin-like BS.

Taking the clot shot thinned the herd quite a bit, didn't it?

Few questions?

1. I see Plaxovid all over the commercials these days. "If it's COVID, Plaxovid" and then they dance and sing. If ivermectin worked as well as you say it does, shouldn't it be everywhere? Why doesn't ivermectin make people sing and dance? Not backed by Pfizer?

2. What was the largest amount of people you've coached through masturbation addiction at one time?

Obsession? The only times and places I see the word ivermectin is in threads like this and when I pass the animal therapeutics section at my local farm coop store.

Are you oblivious to how many MAGAs jump onboard and post outdated/false propaganda links about it?
Any idea how much America's Frontline Doctors made in $100 and 200 "prescription referrals" for it? It's in the tens of millions.
