I haven't pulled the trigger on any subscription yet to watch the games. Any good recommendations for a month or temporary subscription?

Plenty of options.
I have HULU, which will carry all of the games. (CBS, TBS, TNT & TruTV) I like Hulu because of the sports options. BTN, SEC Network, ACC Network, all the Fox Sports channels, ESPN channels, CBS Sports Network, NFL Network and the Olympic Channel.

After I got unliimited high speed internet out to my lociation, I was glad to get rid of DISH

My Bro-Inlaw was happy with Youtube Live and I signed up and it is pretty good. No complaints.

The march madness app from CBS was free last year. Gets you all games. Haven't fired it up this year but it's my understanding that's available this year. Otherwise, my usual underground live TV sources through my fire sticks.

Go on...

I do Hulu live for football and basketball. Then Hulu regular for the rest of the year. Hulu live is 72. Regular is 8. It is nice that it is all connected/disconnected from your phone. No calling the cable company and waiting for appts.

Switched to HULU about six months ago. Mediacom just kept getting deeper and deeper into my pockets. Hulu interface is a bit wonky, but it works and I will soon get unlimited DVR (which I use a lot), a lot of older TV shows I enjoyed, original (and not) programming and a ton of sports channels. So far I'm satisfied.

Don't waste your money, there are tons of free options, just Google, "stream March madness for free Reddit," and look for links, there are a million of them.

How do you skip the commercials when viewing recorded shows? Maybe my basic remote is the issue.

Youtube TV has a free 2 week trial...

YouTube TV, no regrets getting rid of the cable. Unlimited DVR and you can sign in from any location and watch unlike Hulu.
This. YouTube TV travels with you legitimately (I use it at both of my houses). And you can have up to 6 devices ar a time watching it. And the cloud DVR rocks! No regrets.

It's a free ad supported app from CBS. Kind of the 'if you can't beat em join em' philosophy. Make it free and get ad revenue or people are gonna pirate it anyways. Should download to most smart TVs (some brands block stuff like that) or any smart device for your TV. As well as your phone.

Hulu user here. I can’t skip the commercials on something I recorded either-after a certain point. Which is ridiculous.

USTVGO.TV is all you need, it's free. I watch all of my games here. Don't waste your money on stupid apps.

YouTube TV allows skipping commercials on recordings, but some on-demand content doesn't allow it, like CBS shows, for example. I have a lot of stuff set to record and never have to worry about skipping commercials for them.

It will block certain games unless you’re using the mobile app version.

Another YouTuber here and I just downgraded my internet service (by a lot) with no interruption in streaming.

My only complaint about streaming vs dish is the DVR. With the Dish DVR you could pinpoint the exact moment when fast forwarding or rewinding. With streaming, you’re just happy being in the neighborhood of the play.

Overall, no complaints with YTTV.

NCAA.com lets you watch any and every game you want. It says there is a 3 hour free viewing before you have to sign in with a tv provider but any time you choose a different game the timer starts over. At least it does for me.

I've got no idea if this stays free or if it limits you to a certain amount of time. I personally love my YoutubeTV. Last year I had set it record all tournament games and that was still selected when I went to do the same thing this year. Love watching games on that. I can start a game from the beginning at halftime and am usually caught up by skipping commercials by about the 2 minute mark.

H ulu had forced commercials on recorded games when I had it. Hated it

No cord. I've had Direct TV for 30 years. It pulls the game right out of thin air. Perfect picture, unlike streaming...one remote control, unlike everything else...
I hate when people act like streaming services = poor or choppy streams. If people have had problems, it is more than likely not the result of the streaming service. Rather it is because you don't have fast enough service or didn't invest in proper router, range extender, etc.

I've had YTTV for about 2 years. I split the service with a family member and I pay ~$35/month for a perfect picture (and my roku remote controls everything). My service went down once for about 3-4 hours in the last two years, as a result of Cedar Falls Utilities having a widespread outage about 11 months ago. It is not unusual for my parents who have Direct TV lose their signal when a bad storm is coming.

Streaming services may not be for everyone, but I can tell you from experience that it is much better than many people insinuate.

The picture quality of YTTV is the same. I also have one remote too. 🙄

Universal remotes aren’t unique to DirecTV.
