When was the last time you got pulled over by the cops?

Angry Season 2 GIF by The Office

I figured you drive a brand new Ferrari like the rest of us on HBOT.

I’ve always wanted to get in a high speed police chase because I know I’m a better driver than everyone on the road, cops included, and know I could get away, but just don’t want to put the public in danger, so I normally obey the laws.

Has anyone on here ever been involved in a police chase?

LOL, no.

What's your craziest pull over story?
I pulled over a guy in a kid napper van that was driving all over the roadway. I asked him to get out of the vehicle and he kept reaching into his pockets, when I asked him multiple times not to. Come to find out, he had a controller to a vibrating egg that was in his ass. When I had him pull it out you could hear the wet suction. He put it on his metal bumper and it just sat there and vibrated as I arrested him for having a bunch of meth on him. I searched his van and there was a large tub of lube and a video camera that was recording him jerking off while driving.

I've been in too many to count. Very unusual for them to get away. I was in one a couple weeks ago where the lady put it in the ditch and ran into thick woods with thick deep grass everywhere. The car was stolen and caught fire and completely burned. We ended up finding her with our drone that had Flir hiding in the woods in the thick grass. I was standing on her without knowing it.

That doesn't sound good. Would you agree with me on this one issue. Once you have identified driver/plates and you don't have any reason to believe that there is imminent danger to the public, that police chases are not good for the public at large?

Wife was pulled over in high school, she earlier spilled something over on her pants so did the totally normal thing of taking them off why driving home. She got pulled over and she had no idea what for and for sure the cop made her get out of the car and she only had a thong or g-string on. Not cool at all especial as minor, but no one zero surprise she didn’t get a ticket.

Did he have previous arrests and an extensive criminal history?

Any dead hookers in the van or anything like that?

Depends. Most of the time you can't identify the driver while in the pursuit. I'm in a more rural area, so this last chase we didn't pass one vehicle, but if it's a city that is heavily populated I have no problem disregarding it. I'm past the point in my career and have been in enough of them that I don't need to show my dick size chasing someone if the situation is dangerous.

Teach the young ones before you retire. Please. I've seen too many "hot" pursuits on video that were simply about speeding tickets and young folk that are dumb. Just not worth losing a life over a simple misdemeanor.

2 months ago at Old Capitol mall had picked up some food heading back to travel ball tournament at the park. Didn’t think I could turn in front of the mall but saw no less than 4 cars turn in front of me and go down the hill. Ton of construction so thought would be quickest way back. Cop picked me up, let me off with a warning.

Three years ago. I was zipping across Northwest Highway in Dallas, west of the tollway. Cops were at the bottom of a hill in a church parking lot. 35 mph zone, got me for 46. They had another person pulled over before I cleared the parking lot. They were picking us off like fish in a barrel.
Four weeks before that, I was in rural Kansas on a two lane blacktop. Speed limit was 55, I was going may least 10 over.
Before that it had been 30 years.

Couple of months ago, was leaving Mesquakie Casino with a cop(Toledo city) sitting in median 1/4 mile up the road. He follows me for a mile and finally hits the lights and said I didn't stop completely when pulling onto 30 East.
Asked me how I did gambling, so I lied and said I lost and now I'm probably going to lose more.😁
Ran the usual plates/registration and let me go.
Either I didn't run stop sign and he just wanted to make sure I wasn't drinking or he bought my sob story about losing $$$.

Or in a car you were a passenger in?

I live in the suburbs of Washington D.C. and there are cop cars everywhere it seems. I see them daily. At night, they're all over the place.

The last time I got pulled over driving was in 2013. My car's tail light was out. It was on a Thursday night around 9 P.M. in an area with lots of bars and the cops were probably hunting for drunk drivers.

The cop was a young woman (no pics) and she gave me a warning to get my tail light fixed. She asked me where I was coming from and I said CVS pharmacy and pointed to the white plastic CVS bag on my front seat.

Some of the people standing outside the bar gawked at me as the cop and I talked.

I saw her a month later stopped at a red light about 2 miles from where she pulled me over and I almost rolled my window down and told her I got my tail light fixed but decided against. 😆

CSB.

When was the last time you got pulled over? What happened? Did you speed away? Kill the cop?
I get speeding tickets damn near every time I am in Iowa. So about once a year.

Dallas cop got me for a California stop at a dead intersection once. I LOLd at him for the ticket, told him this is why the world disrespects his profession, and rolled up my window. 46 in a 35 on NW Highway is the flow of traffic.

Twice in the last year. Nothing cool to report as I was just spacing off driving in town. 36 in a 25 and 45 in a 35. No tickets as I was just being honest about what happened.

Last week. I ordered my license plate sticker online and the fine folks at the Illinois dmv said my sticker was ‘lost in the mail’. Luckily I had the receipt and the officer was very gracious about it.

It is on most days. But on Wednesdays you'd better stick to the limit because they're at the bottom of the hill before you get to Inwood.

Was on George Flagg parkway following two slow moving vehicles about four months ago at 9 pm or later so pretty dark. As I’m passing both going about 50 in a 35, a cop was parked in the grass on the right side of the road undercover. Of course he popped his cherries so I took a right on 31st street and pulled over to clear traffic and get out of the way.

As he approached, I started laughing and said busted, never in a million years did I expect a cop to be sitting there on a week night in the dead of summer, you got me. He laughed and talked for a few minutes, he took my ID and insurance, came back after writing a ticket for five over. I earned it and accepted it for $88. He said he wished more people were like me and that’s why he probably wrote it down from 50 in a 35 to five over.

Probably about 3 years ago talking on cell phone.
Got a warning. Maybe like five or six years ago seat belt had to pay the fine. I have since gone to the truck stop and bought one of those trucker headsets with the big boom mic that comes around my face and it is Bluetooth so no more cell phone violation
Jeez how old is your vehicle. No bluetooth?

What type of penalty is there for someone that leads police on a high speed chase and gets caught?

Laat time? At a Ukraine sobriety check point. It was freezing rain and I needed windshield washer. Vodka is cheap so..... and they smelled it.

About 10 yrs ago, speeding. Closest since was just last Sun morning, North Liberty PD pulled up next to me while i was gassing up son's car to let me know a tail light was out. Popped over to O'Reillys got the bulb and took care of that.

I witnessed one, which was kind of cool. Heading home from work on a Friday night sitting at a stop light. Saw a bunch of lights about 6 blocks behind me. A couple seconds after that out of the corner of my eyes I see a bunch of sparks flying in the air. It was a sweet ass Camaro driving on 4 flat tires and he went right through the light turning left on a busy street. Cops weren’t really pushing as they knew they had him. There was a helicopter up in the air following. I got home a couple minutes later and watched the rest on the news. He apparently robbed a bank then stole the car. The cops threw out the spikes earlier in the chase which is why the tires were flat. He ended up pulling into an apartment complex and tried to hide. They caught him.

Got pulled over about 4-5 years ago. Was just cruising along a main road to get some lunch going about 40 miles an hour. I didn’t even notice the flashing lights for a school zone and thought nothing of it. A cop was right next to me so I really didn’t think much of it. All the sudden he slams on the brakes and pulls me over. I said to him that he was driving the same speed as me how can you give me a ticket? He gave me some term for it and said it is a common way for them to get your speed. Whatever. $300 ticket.

I missed a Kiss concert. I guess I was the only drunk person there.

Pulled over for violating a noise ordinance. When the cop saw I was a middle age white guy jamming to Kid Rock, he thanked me for paying his salary, politely asked that I turn the volume down to “9”, and sent me on my way. God Bless America!!!!!!!

About 5 years ago. Son had a baseball game that got delayed and didn’t finish up till 12:30 A.M. Had to work the next day so was in a hurry. Was doing 82 in a 65. Got pulled over outside Peosta by a deputy. Explained my situation and the young deputy gave me a warning. No way I thought I’d get a warning going 82 but some officers actually have a soft spot.
