1. Nunge's minutes in the 2nd half (18:00 to 11:00 ish). He was great getting in defensive position and that aggressive take to the rim (wow!)
2. Keegan continues to emerge, quick around the basket. That put back!
3. JT bringing energy and hustle. He was doing a good job communicating and making sure everyone was in their correct zone.

Perkins played well and was productive in only 7 minutes...Three points, three rebounds, two assist, and no turnovers.

Nunge continues improving....had some really good defensive work.

Connor provided more points than usual.

Joe W was more aggressive for most of the game. The bench was in the game. You could here them yelling defense at the end of the game.
This. Weezy didn’t stop shooting. They didn’t go in down the stretch, but I like that he never stopped firing. Massive credit to him.

Really liked Perkins and his aggressiveness as well. Keegan continues to prove that he’s a game changer. Also loved to see Connor looking for his shot. Got stripped a couple of times but I loved seeing him be aggressive on the offensive end

This is a bit of an off topic to this but.....last Illinois possession in the first half. Before their guy hits the crazy three (on which we played really good D-tie to this thread)...before he gets the ball their other guard is driving the base line from right to left going right under the basket+%$&#& I SWEAR he ran across the lane while carrying the ball. Was that not a travel?

I liked how the Iowa D continued the season long trend of leaving opposing players open in the corners for uncontested threes.

It's been talked about a lot. Terrible missed call.

Garza should get an award for not killing someone. Luckily, we still get another game with a look at the monitor when he hit Frazier's hair/ face clearly going for the ball.

Wieskamp is playing better. He's shooting better and did hunt his shot a little more

Connor gave us some offense.

Toussaint scored some buckets.

The man to man defense was much better when it was Joe T., Nunge/Garza, Perkins, Weiskamp and Keegan (or whatever lineup that was). That crew got us into the game and there offense didn't just sit and dribble.

It was a great college basketball game. The kind I look for every single night. It sucks that the wrong team lost, but, despite the naysayers, we were in it all the way even with the obstacles that certain individuals wearing stripes put in our way. When it comes right down to it, really the only lasting negative is it gives us a lesser chance of winning the conference championship. It may have some small effect on our tournament seeding, but we still have the ability to win it all if we can put a string of victories together at the right time.
