What is the coolest car you have ever driven?

Well, we raced cars in my family (was not the driver, wrench man only), so the Bush All Star Dirt Late Model that I got to hot lap a few times in the late 90's was unbelievable, Buuuuuutttt....my nephew drives the fancy Tesla and it smokes the ICE as far as acceleration. Pretty Wild, Our stock car was dyno tested around 750 HP and this Tesla is WAY more snappy, actually super fun. But I did miss the deafening noise from a straight headered V8 and the fear that the drive shaft right next to your leg could snap in two and pop in to the car with you at any minute. Good times.

Probably a '68 Camaro with a very healthy 355 spinning a Muncie 4-speed with Vertigate shifter and a Ford 9" to get it all to the wheels. Other notables would probably be a '68 Vette convertible and an old V10 Jag.

If we expand beyond cars, a '74 Bronco lifted up big tires with a 302, and a '79 Ford F250 with a 6"lift, 44" tires, and a 428 police intercept for a powerplant.

My dad had a Porsche 924 Turbo. At about 95 mph, there was a noticeable shift in the downforce on the car and it sunk about 2 inches, so at higher speeds it actually handled better. He had to get rid of it because getting it serviced in small town Iowa was impossible.
I drove my uncle's Ferrari once but it was a rebuilt piece of junk. It drove like a wrecked Volkswagen Golf. He got it at a car auction for something like $3500 and he overpaid. It would have been good for having your picture taken in front of it, but this was long before cell phones.

Worked like a hell for a couple summers and bought a '72 Chevelle Malibu in High School. Driving down the road you couldn't tell if it was a $40,000 car or a $4,000 car......but it was definitely closer to the $4,000 variety.....but that made it perfect for a kid as you weren't scared to drive it and mess something up.

Exact same as this one, even with the same SS Crager rims and color (but mine didn't have the vinyl top)

the 350, 2 barrel wasn't going to win any races, but she sounded badass!

Yup. Drove a Viper. V10 open cockpit......very loud but fun.

The viper was awesome to drive. Pure performance. It took me a lap or two to adjust to the level of performance. Boat loads of torque. We had run the same track for a while with Dodge Neons so the jump to the Vipers was pretty extreme.

When we were done with the day, smoke was coming out of the window openings on the doors. They said that was normal for the vipers due to the side exhaust.

Yup. Drove the old side exhaust too. They changed that with the second generation.

I took it to 150 in 5th before backing off. Plenty fast for me.
