Good news. Thanks for sharing prairiehawk.Another guy not mentioned in the article who is going to be in town is Aaron Bradley, the HWT commit fresh off of his mission trip. I know there were people questioning if he would actually come to Iowa after his trip
Sure talking a lot about losing today AF, and giving reason why it will be OK. I will take the win and all those top recruits seeing it and wanting to wrestle for OSU.I hear you so cal. There are so many positives that winning this dual is less important than getting the record in dramatic fashion, doing it with the two most storied programs in history, drawing attention to the sport, and providing a great recruiting opportunity.
Also, being at the beginning of the season I feel like winning or losing doesn't matter as much as it would during the second semester. Kind of like losing a football game at the beginning of the season; the pressure's off. I hope the Hawks wrestle loose like there's no pressure. Will make for much more exciting action.
But then reality reared it's ugly head. Sorry.Sure talking a lot about losing today AF, and giving reason why it will be OK. I will take the win and all those top recruits seeing it and wanting to wrestle for OSU.

I am definitely not a fan of getting an escape near the edge, get pushed and being dinged for stalling.Who would have thought it. That if you don't let people play the edge and make them wrestle that you will have a more exciting dual with more points scored. I sure hope that the rest of the refs in the nation call stalling like they did during this meet. If they do we are going to have a much better product.
Sadly I am sure a lot of refs are going to lean towards calling "action" on anything iffy.
That is why I have no problem when they call stalling on a guy who has just escaped towards the edge of the mat and then goes out of bounds. I want them to have a really really really good reason to call "action" when wrestlers going out of bounds. Like pretty much never. Like 2 guys starting shots and reshots in the middle that takes them to the edge and they honestly didn't even know where they were on the mat. If they start justifying this out of bounds and that out of bounds as "action" we are going to be right back to where we were last year.
Again if this is the price we have to pay for them being aggressive with calling stalling instead of "action" so be it. Much rather have them lean towards stall calls than calling action.I am definitely not a fan of getting an escape near the edge, get pushed and being dinged for stalling.
