Yeah the last series was disgraceful. Had Iowa been getting 6-7 yards a pop running the ball. I understand running. However when it was 2nd and 12 we needed to pass.

ZERO excuse to milk the clock there. That was old Kirk that we wanted fired. He did that crap and it's lost us numerous games in the past.

Still no semblance of a modern offense. None. The passing game and the running game are from two different planets. Iowa comes out on 3rd and 2 in shotgun. For every team in the country this is still and either/or situation in terms of pass to run. Not for Iowa. Shotgun = 100% pass. Counters? Nope. Spread 3 or 4 wide to create running lanes? Nope. Run/pass options? None. Whichever way the QB opens is where the ball is going. Insanely easy to read.

I don't know about blaming GD.. Iowa has put up some great offense the past 15-16 games.. Take away that hold today and if CJ hits Kittle on that opening drive Iowa would have put up 35 again.. I did think his play calling was crap the last drive tho..

Daniels was 12/30 yards going into that last drive, and NDSU loaded the box to stop the run. How can any sane OC call his number in that situation?
