What was the first World Series you remember watching?

How old are you? I think we've talked about it before but I don't remember. I just turned 47 a month ago.
I’m 43.

Yeah, if we did, I don’t remember. I would have been turning 5 in 1986.

I do remember pretty well watching the fall of the Berlin Wall in November of 1989. Probably the first significant world event I recall.

I do vaguely remember the Challenger disaster.

Okay, now I feel old. I was on a business trip when that happened. I landed in Dallas, got in my rental car, and when I turned on the radio it had just happened and they were breathlessly reporting it and trying to get an explanation about what happened. I had a 90-minute drive and that was what I listened to the whole time.

I was in preschool.

I have very vague memories of the 1970 Series (I was 7), but mostly just remember Baltimore winning it because they had a dominant pitching staff. Mostly I can remember watching games when I got home from school - that was the last WS played all in the afternoon. I remember a bit more about the 1971 series, as I'd become a huge Clemente fan.

Loved baseball as a kid, big time card collector.

First I recall is 1989, mainly because of the earthquake. I also remember the Cubs winning the East.
Don’t recall 1990 at all for some reason.
Do recall the 2nd Twins title in 1991 and the two Blue Jays titles in 92 and 93. Those three were the first ones I remember because of the games.

Was devastated by the strike in 1994 and stopped caring about baseball as much after that until the home run chase and Cubs playoff push of 1998.

Cuellar, Palmer, McDowell (?) off the top of my head.

Edit. Dave McNally, not McDowell.
Cuellar and McNally each won 24 games, while Palmer won 20.
Dang, what a staff. This was of course, prior to the rise of the relief specialist. Those guys notched a lot of innings.

There was a 4th 20 game winner for the O's that year too. I don't remember his name without Google's help.
