What was the first World Series you remember watching?

1959 World Series between the Dodgers and the White Sox. Dodgers won 4 games to 2.
I was seven and in second grade. I became a Dodger fan then. Yea, I was a front runner.

I “think” I remember the 1958 World Series but I am not sure.

1973 Oakland A's had three 20 game winners. 40 complete games between them.

Ahh, yeah. Catfish Hunter was on that staff as well as Kenny Holtzclaw. I had to look it up.
Yeah, Ken Holtzman was one of the pitchers. The A's got him from the Cubs in a trade for Rick Mondsy, IIRC. I was a big Cubs fan and hated to see Holtzman go.

MLB- Vaaaaaaguely remember the '91 series where the Twins won, otherwise it was the 1995 Braves-Indians series because I was on a big Major League movie kick back then. Mid 90s to early 00s was probably when I was most into baseball.

NBA- 1991 Bulls-Lakers knew of it, 1992 Bulls-Trailblazers was the first series I watched. All the kids were imitating MJ at basketball camps after that.

NFL- Cowboys-Bills Super Bowl part 1

NHL- 1994 Rangers winning the Stanley Cup

CFB- 1991 Rose Bowl. Kinda sort of watched Iowa in the early 90s. 1994 was the first full season of Iowa football that I watched.

CBB- -91-'92 Iowa basketball season was the first I sort of watched. '92-'93 season was the first I was a true fan of. Been watching the NCAA Tournament (and Iowa) ever since.

1969 Mets v Orioles
The first I really paid attention to being a huge O's fan. 😡 😡 😡

On the other hand, years later, I got to know Don Cardwell who pitched for the '69 Mets. He was a hometown boy and became a car salesman in town after he retired. When he went to the Cubs in the early 60's he no-hit the Cards in his first start - the first time that had ever been done. He walked the second guy he faced and then retired the next 26...he was still pissed about that walk 35 years later.

Great guy with some great stories who always got me a deal on a new car and let me wear The Ring.

A pretty decent pitcher on some pretty poor teams.

1969 Orioles-Mets is also first one I remember. I was 8. Became Hawkeye basketball fan that winter.
I remember catching an inning or two at Montgomery-Wards in downtown Iowa City on one of those newfangled color console TVs on display. Magnavox - " The quality goes in before the name goes on. " Wards was located where the Fieldhouse bar ended up I believe...

My first WS was 1965 between the Dodgers and the Twins. Dodgers won in 7. Sandy Koufax didn't pitch game 1 because it fell on Yom Kippur. But, he pitched 2 shutout in the series.
Went home for lunch and new came back to school. Played hooky and watched at a classmate's house whose folks had just purchased a color TV...

I watched that on a color TV as well. My aunt and uncle had just purchased one recently.

1964 St Louis vs Yankees
Dad was a big Cardinals fan. Of course, we couldn't actually watch much of it in those days, but we watched what we could, listened to the radio, etc.

Kinda same for me 1966 World Series, I was 9 and Brooks Robinson was my favorite player, Orioles swept Dodgers, I was fortunate that game 1&2 were in LA on Wednesday and Thursday and didn’t start till 3:00 Iowa time, 3&4 were in Baltimore on Saturday and Sunday.
