What would you do? Property line dispute

Surveys rule!
I agree, I would tell any neighbor to get a survey. Why should I get part of their property or they get part of my property. Most people thing the cable boxes are the property line but that's not true at all. It all depends on how the homes were built.

If I were her, I'd compromise with the neighbor. After proving, once again, that her property line is far closer to his home than he knew. I'd offer to build the fence one foot closer to his residence in parallel with the edge of his mowing line. He'd probably agree to that. He keeps his tree and his interpretation of his property isn't drastically changed. She gains back some ground and perhaps makes a friend in the process. Everybody wins.

For whoever said the attorneys will be the winners. Not in my book. Sounds like a miserable lot of people to deal with.

you can be a good neighbor and have an asshole neighbor. No one wins with attorneys involved. The case I'm involved in has cost 500k for a .18 acre dispute...robbery

Like I said, attorneys don't like dealing with assholes either (well most)
one side went pro se and doing quite well. This issue is one survey measured into a state right of way along with a section corner being misidentified from a survey 60 years ago from earlier surveys.

Crazy. The attorney involved is just smiling. It went from local court to federal and now appeals court.

I used to live across the street from two houses that had a constant tantrum about the property line between their houses. Every year, there was a 6” strip of grass that they both refused to mow, and every year someone from the city was sent out to string trim the stupid strip of grass. Just ridiculous.

Also, this is a pretty good wouldja.

She’s kind of cute but a little beefy.

Mildly annoying voice but sense of humor.

Kind of bitchy but also I like that she stands up for herself and is sassy.

I’m leaning would.

I think I would confirm that line again and then build a fence right up to it. She tried to be reasonable. Too late now.

FAFO example #4317

Actual line shown about 1/3 way into video. Doh!

That goddamn fence is going in wherever the city allows in relation to the property line and that tree is either getting replanted elsewhere on the same side of the line or landing in the middle of his driveway.
