What's a good beach drink that isnt too sugary?

A lot of love for coconut vodka in this thread. Never had it. Something else to try.

Good luck. I’ve never had a coconut rum or coconut vodka that wasn’t sickeningly sweet and tasting of sunscreen/artificial coconut. It’s far better to get a good quality rum or tequila and toss in some actual coconut cream or coconut milk.

Asked at a bar this morning and coconut vodka is a no go. I'll try the iceberg sometime today.

Some of these suggestions where you have to ask for substitutions and specific brands seems a bit complicated to order from the beach.

Also, there is like a 45 year old lady with some nice bolt-ons barely covered up by her top near us. I'll ask tbw if she cares if I take a pic of them.

Upon further reflection, if you are day drinking at a resort for a full day, probably the best thing to order is vodka and club soda, with a lime. Cuts out all of the sugar and it is as light and "refreshing" in the sun as a drink with alcohol gets.

Agree about rum. But the vodka is 80 proof and with water is perfect.
