The Big Ten conference should start to and or ramp up promoting all of it's football teams in a more meaningful way.

Let's face it, ESPN really gives their conference(SEC) an unfair advantage in setting the tone and the narrative in today's college football universe.

If the Big Ten were to promote Iowa it would help twofold.

Let's say Iowa runs the table and goes to the CCG, if Iowa wins, the B1G champ should be invited, no question. Right now folks are saying no way Iowa should be in? Are you kidding me?! What is wrong with these people?? It would also help the opponent in that it would be a "good loss" (to borrow ESPN speak) because Iowa is a good team.

Let's say Iowa loses the CCG, then Iowa would/should be invited to the next best option outside of the CFP and the winner would get a better seed in the playoff because beating Iowa would be viewed as a good win.

The more top ranked and highly thought of programs in the conference, the better and stonger the conference looks. This is the exact reason SEC teams are overrated every pre-season and throughout the year.

ESPN sets the narrative and it seems like there is little meaningful opposition to their opinions. Somehow Memphis and Toledo are good/grear teams now because they beat the SEC darlings.

For some reason i dont hear ESPN ripping up Memphis and their crap schedule...they gave up 46 points to Cincinnati and 42 points to Tulsa. yet somehow Ole Miss could only muster 24. I bet you never hear that out of ESPN!!!!

So you'd be okay with a 9-3 Big XII champion getting in over a 12-1 Big 10 team who's only loss is the BTCG? Because the SEC will get their runner up, Notre Dame will use up the other "wild card" and Tulsa (or whoever) will be the non P-5 team.
No, stick with the top teams, regardless of conference.

Mike & Mike were discussing Memphis this morning - they said there is no way Memphis gets into the playoff even if they are undefeated. Zero chance. They aren't talking about Memphis because they are irrelevant.

ESPN talking about Iowa is a very good thing. "Most" of the commentators that I have heard (Russillo, Kannel, Mike & Mike, Herby, Dez) have said Iowa is a very good team, but that haven't proven it on the big stage yet. I agree. They came into the year with absolutely no respect, and have earned a lot. They will not be considered Top 4 until they beat a name brand.

Its like the the weeks before the NFL draft. No one talks about the middle of the 3rd round guys - they talk about the 1st rounders. And, they talk a lot about their weaknesses.

I hope we can beat Indiana. I'm not convinced we will.
