Ya know, the type they's serve at a real manor ;) Mine would be the trifle, prepared by jeeves and his team, three floors beneath me in the kitchen; where I wouldn't defile myself.

The trifle!

I actually like real Scottish haggis (ie the one made from lungs) quite a bit. The best I ever had was at the Arcade Bar (also known as the Whiskey and Haggis House) in Edinburgh where we got it served “Princess Diana style” which is a layer of haggis, a layer of mash (mashed potatoes) and a layer of neeps (mashed turnips) green with a special sauce made from heavy cream, Drambuie, tomatoes and onions. It was heavenly. Even the plain haggis we got on the “Full Scottish” breakfasts at our castle and hunting lodge stays were delicious.

The American version made without lungs and is essentially just heart and live is far more irony and gamey. The apparently bland tasting lung really turns down the “offal” flavor.

Chicken biryani

Yeah, most of the so-called “Indian food” we eat here in Mericuh ie either straight up invented in Limeytown or else are Limey takes that barely resemble the real authentic recipes. It’s very similar to how “Chinese” takeout has almost nothing to do with any of the many authentic regional cuisines in China and is instead either completely made up from nothing in California or the “Wild West” or with the barest influence from the homeland.

Chicken biryani is common in India, as is chicken Tikka masala.

Yeah but it’s Iranian in origin. Just another dish like butter chicken and tikka masala thrown under the “Indian” moniker.
If you're going to go to do that, we can play that game with any cuisine including occidental ones.

Of course, a lot of so-called “Southern” dishes are really alterations of Scottish, Amish/“German”, and African in origin. And pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes are both originated in Yankeeland not the South like most people believe.

Read the part about origin of biryani.

I realize you're knowledgeable about food but so are others. Don't be a Mr. Know it All.

I’m well aware that some critics in India claim it originated there. I’m also well aware there’s nothing in writing or other historical evidence to support it and the etymology of the word is Persian not an ancestral Indian language in origin. I can be a know it all when it’s a subject I know.

Look buddy, thanks for the lesson but I know a tad bit more about Indian cuisine than you. Thanks for the primer though.

Sadly you choose to ignore what is objectively written. It's laughable but you do you. You might want to read about the difference between a pulau and a biryani but I'm sure you know everything so why bother.

LOL just because you’re Indian in origin or whatever doesn’t make you any more of an expert than if I claimed to be a master of Native American religions because my grandmother was full blooded. Come down off your high horse.

You might want to look in the mirror first hoss.

Your xenophobia is kind of sad actually. I'd offer you some applications of both those things but I'm going to go watch some football. Enjoy your evening.
