Maybe an earlier thread or even some btn live show broke this down, but I saw some teams can clinch... I think it was Stanford getting pac north this weekend possibly...

When can we get the west? Will this come down to the very last game pending on wisky winning out? Not always sure how these things shake out...

Magic number is 3

Any combo of Iowa wins and Wisconsin losses totaling 3 clinches.

Iowa needs at least two wins. Three Wisconsin losses and Three (or four) Iowa losses could put in Northwestern if they win out. Two wins makes it a two team race with Wisconsin.

Simply put, if our record in the B10 W is worse than Wisconsin ' s then we miss out. We need to have 1 loss only if they loose no more. We loose two and they loose none, they are in. Out of conference doesn't matter much unless it's used as a tie breaker

Wrong. Record in just B1G West isn't what matters. Overall record vs B1G matters. Basically Iowa has to have 1 more loss in conference than Wisconsin since Iowa owns the tiebreaker for Wisconsin to win or Northwestern for that matter.

Currently- if we win out, can clinch vs Purdue

If Wisconsin loses in the next two weeks, we can clinch earlier. If they lose against Northwestern, then it doesn't matter what we do against Purdue that same day, as long as we've won every game to that point. As far as clinching the West is concerned.........

After Maryland beats Wisconsin this weekend Iowa is going to seal up the division in front of a sold out crowd under the lights of Kinnick.

The earliest Iowa clinches is against Minnesota if Iowa wins next two games and Wisconsin loses at Maryland over the next two weeks, since they have a bye then (probably not too likely).
