I know everyone gushes over the hokey pokey. For me though, it’s a little hokey.
I was noticing Antonio Ramos and Joey Range in the video.....Jess Settles looking fit and ready, Kent M, JR Koch, etc.....
Agreed, it's a little hokey. And it's a little pokey. And then you turn yourself around. That's what it's all about.
There was a point one summer when JR had his hand/wrist in a brace due to a mountain biking accident...the coaches had told him he needed to quit riding and find another way to get around as he rode like a crazy person and he agreed to do so. The very next day he goes flying down Burlington and looks over as he is passing cars and sees one of the assistants. They took his bike from him that day and locked it up at CHA for awhile.
Yes, it is hokey (I get it)... But when the head football coach, entire staff, and all the players celebrate and laugh and cheer as they do it after a win ... well ... that makes it pretty cool in my book.I know everyone gushes over the hokey pokey. For me though, it’s a little hokey.
Actually, he must have borrowed some of the words from a kids' song which is probably pretty old. "Here we go looby loo, he we go looby light, he we go looby loo, all on a Saturday night. You put your right foot in, you take your right foot out, you give your right foot a shake shake shake and turn yourself about" And so on with the left foot, whole self" Sounds like a Sat. night bath song. .The writer of the Hokey Pokey died recently, by the way. Trouble at the funeral home, though. They put his left leg into the casket, and then the trouble started.
IIRC, Kent McCausland sang it in the locker room after the Kansas win(or wanted to) and maybe the other kids needed some help. So Hayden must have

Sure would like to see that game again.
