When was the last time we were ranked in the regular season top 25?

Winning the first 7 games would probably do it, but with this schedule, maybe the first 9. Beating Minnesota with even one loss, depending where in the schedule, probably puts, or keeps, Iowa ranked.

Winning their first 5 games with a convincing win over WI could get them in the top 25. A lot depends on other teams records to that point (did some pre-season ranked teams lose a game or two, etc.).

The wins will happen, but I don't think the ranking will.

That would be beating:
Illinois State - FCS
ISU
Pitt
North Texas - CUSA
Wisconsin

That is at least 4 that will get no "love", no hype, nothing. Wiscy will likely have 1 loss to Bama, with games against Miamo-OH, Troy, and Hawaii....they won't be ranked. ISU could be winless.

Now obviously beating an undefeated Wiscy team would do it.
