Former Iowa police officer arrested for allegedly sending explicit images to a minor​

EAGLE GROVE, Iowa (KCRG) - A former central Iowa police officer has been arrested for allegedly sending explicit images to a minor over social media.
A criminal complaint says Colt Richardson, 27, of Webster City, knowingly sent explicit images at least twice to someone under the age of 18 using Snapchat in December 2024.
The complaint says the first instance happened while he was on duty at the Eagle Grove Police Department, and the second happened while he was off duty.
His employment has since been terminated.

The Eagle Grove Police Department has requested an investigation by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
