If the Hawks hadn't gotten nonconsensually asspounded in the Rose Bowl, I believe we would be preseason consensus Top 5 - 10.

As it stands, I think most outlets will have us 14 - 20 range.

I can agree with you there, Pepperman. So, It's Iowa's first pre-season #1 ranking ever - with lots of company.

Actually OldTownPepe, Playboy magazine had us ranked #1 pre-season in 1965. We finished 1-9, 0-7 in the B1G. Talk about under achieving.

Thanks, I didn't know that Suterman, but with that kind of a finish, it reinforces the point that Iowa just doesn't make it when they're ranked.
