Which Drone Is for You?

The link lists some recommended "consumer" models starting in the $50 range and going up over $1K.

Some come with cameras and GPS, others allow you to add your own GoPro (or whatever).

The main drawback, even with the expensive ones, seems to be flying time. Maybe not a big deal for the hobbyist. And if that isn't an issue, some of them look like a lot of fun.

You know I am. I am still in research mode.

My son's high school just bought one. They plan on using it to cover sporting events, parades, band practices etc.(film, drop t-shirts, snacks etc.)

He is part of a group that gets to put it through its paced out of the box.

I am waiting for him to get through some learning curve before I invest in something.
