You don't really understand. The female athletes can occasionally provide some eye candy when the action on the field or court gets boring.

We all understand how watching sweaty dudes is more your cup of tea.

I'm more of a tri-sexual. I'll try any thing once. But for real it's been fun. Going to get back watching the tournament.

Those people were mostly there for a football game (I know I was, and I attended both) and our "nation leading" dual attendance is like what, 6,000 per meet?

Chick basketball draws that much at most schools.

No

Stanford had a lot more talent than us.

Villanova didn't have a lot more talent than us. They just had heart so this loss hurts way more.

LOL, says the little bitch that would pee his pants and run away like a little girl if he ever got into a real fight.

Wrestling fans are such insecure douches. Nobody on the planet cares about your stupid sport. Deal with it.
I love Iowa wrestling. Wrestling is the most intense sport there is from a mental and physical standpoint. I'm well educated, love Hawkeye athletics ... And love Iowa wrestling ... And I don't consider myself an insecure douche ...

We average above 8k for wrestling (that was in 2014, no grapple), women's basketball can hardly do that for a home ncaa game.

See you at the Olympic Trials April 9/10!

The women had 9,000+ the day after Iowa had about 6k or so for NC State in the national duals.

Try again.

Ill pass & hit ignore. 6k on 4 days notice is pretty good & proves that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Iowa wrestled in the middle of March Madness? Who knew?

90% might be an exaggeration. But, I'd agree that given a very broad definition of Hawk fan most don't know anything about wrestling. Or care.

I've followed wrestling since I was a kid. Used to love the old iowa public tv wrestling broadcasts. Have been to multiple duals, several Iowa-'clone matchups.
Nobody has brought up wrestling to me once, except my brother who has always followed them as well.

Then again you could also say that a large portion of the football fan base don't understand or care about the game. They go to tailgate and spend time with friends.

Football certainly has a larger fan base but the wrestling fan base as a whole is more educated and passionate about their sport. You don't get all the drunken idiots.

Yep, Stanford did and not saying they beat bama or Clemson they would have a chance. and Iowa had won the big ten west and went 12-0 and still finished in the top 10. Nova just played harder and that shouldn't happen. Didn't come out with the energy necessary.
