Regular season champions...that’s about being good over the course of several games....home, on the road, bad officiating, sickness, injuries, off shooting games, etc etc.
As much as I would love any of those, regular season champ isn’t about getting hot at the right time or getting a couple breaks...

Sweet 16. If you are a regular season champion in the Big Ten you are probably looking at worst a three seed. Which means you got upset in the first or second round. Which would be massively disappointing after such a great year. Basketball is all about the NCAA tournament.

The emotional 1st weekend of the NCAA Tournament and runup to a Sweet 16 game I don't think you can beat it.
ISU was a 7 or 8 going into the tourney, they improved their seed line by 1 or 2
A regular season and/or conference tourney is what all teams should strive for.

Tourney championship is kinda silly imo....unless you need it to get in the real tourney.
