I haven’t seen enough of Simmons’ work to put him in my Top 5, but he and David Rasche had two fantastic scenes in Burn After Reading.
The eye roll by Simmons when Palmer tells him Cox is in a coma is perfect.

It is, you’re right. It wasn’t my cup of tea, nor my wife. He is a great actor and the only reason we finished the film. The fact it’s rated 39th all time is further evidence that the people who decide these rankings are not to be taken seriously. You can’t tell me it’s even in the top 500 best films, let alone top 50. What a joke lol.
I think imdb top 250 is a fantastic gauge of if a movie is good or not

I actually like most his movies as well. High Fidelity is the balls.
John Cusack is probably one of my favorite PEOPLE who also happens to be in many of my favorite films. He’s definitely there, just not versatile enough for top five. High Fidelity is an all-time great movie. Great overall cast though. Wish we would have seen more from Danish actress Iben Hjele who played his love interest.
