who else thinks transfers are RUINING wrestling??

As I posted on the BWI site, I hate the transfers also. I feel bad for guys like Carter Happel or Jared Glosser who train for 4 years with the hope of finally getting the starting spot as a 5th year senior and then along comes a transfer. (Although, I think Lugo came along before Glosser's 5th year - but I could be wrong on that.)
One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that for all the glossers and happels that get bumped by eiermans and lugos, there's a hardworking backup that gets his chance as a starter because of the open hole the lugos and eiermans left behind.

only issue with it is tampering, but just because a guy transfers doesn't guarantee him or the team anything

With the NIL law changes and the ability to make money, I bet we are going to see quite a bit more of this and I bet Iowa will be a big beneficiary of it. I would think it would likely help ISU too for the same reason.

That is a good point and an angle that I had not considered. So someone does benefit in the same way as someone suffers. It does not subtract from the loyalty or look out for number one debate, but it is a good point none the less. Thank you for bringing that up.
