First off congrats to the coaches and players. It's been a magical season and it ain't over yet.
But before this game was played I saw two evenly matched teams and the one with the ball last was gonna win.
I know technically the Hawks had the ball last. But the real final drive IMO was the one MSU put together. I could pick nits and say Parker needed 5 on the line more often or say Greg should've gone downfield before the 4th quarter, but the reality is Iowa had the lead for most of the game and second guessing the coaches is less fun right now than dreaming of our bowl game.
So who else saw this game playing out this way? In my mind Iowa would make that final drive, but either way I figured it would be a one score game at the end of the 4th quarter. MSU just happened to be the one with the ball and they played that drive like Iowa has so many times under Kirk. I'm excited for the bowl game and next year.
