I actually remember the backstory to joining Rivals & posting on the Iowa board for the first time. I graduated from tOSU in 2005 & moved away. Missed talking to Buckeye fans so I joined Rivals in September 2006. Just so happened there was a highly ranked matchup between tOSU & Iowa that week.

Does anyone else on HROT remember this game?

I started under my current username/account on the day it was announced that Rix got suspended for oversleeping & missing a final exam. I think that was Dec 2002. I'd had a previous username during that season, got banned for a negative comment when the news broke about Rix. One of the mods, (think it was either MadCow or JMG) just want thro d banned everyone who said anything negative. I created this new account under diffenmaddy n e oiginal.

Mostly a lurker since 2004ish. I was dedicated, was using a flip Nokia.

I started on the UF smack board anround 1997 and then moved to the fsu smack board. Was something like gogators.com and gonoles.net. I moved over to warchant in 1998 before rivals.

I’ve always been HawkeyeShawn. Got that nickname from a co-worker in Omaha in the mid 90’s and it stuck.
