Iowa dirt's message to California's dirt.
Burning Man Burn GIF by IFHT Films

Used to be Iowa, but now it’s polluted with nitrates and pesticides.
I'm not scared I just want to be open minded.

Like Iowa dirt is pumped full of chemicals now, but most of that California forest dirt is all organic and has ton of mushroom and woody matter in it. Could be real good dirt.
Do you guys have any compelling evidence to show that Iowa soil is full of pesticides, or is this one of those things where people assume all pesticide use is bad and that these poisons stick around forever?

why is my water on fire?

Sesame Street Idk GIF
You're welcome!

If your water appears to be on fire, it's most likely due to the presence of methane gas mixed in with your water supply, which can be ignited by a flame because of contamination from natural gas operations, often linked to fracking activities near your location; essentially, the gas is burning, not the water itself.

Key points about this phenomenon:
  • Methane contamination:
Natural gas, primarily composed of methane, can seep into groundwater sources, particularly in areas with active oil and gas drilling, leading to flammable water.

  • Fracking concerns:
The process of hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") is often associated with methane contamination in drinking water, although not all fracking operations cause this issue.

  • What to do:
If you suspect your water is flammable, contact your local water utility company immediately. They can test your water and investigate the source of the contamination.

I think calling Iowa's soil "dirt" is kinda dirty.

I was accused of being a little sensitive in another thread ... maybe I am 🤷‍♂️.

Last month I was driving along the coast south of Santa Cruz and the ag areas around Watsonville had the blackest, richest looking soil I have seen in my life. It was amazing.
