Who is Spencer Lee?

I don't follow this sport too closely but there seems to be a lot teasing of this kid on these boards. (I'd have been mortified at the age of 16 to hear others planning my wedding, even in jest.)

I understand Iowa wanted him badly but if the kid has committed to a different team, you all should all just leave him alone.

Maybe you want to know what kind of a man Spencer Lee is. He can tell you stories about growing up in a football town where if you didn’t play sports you felt like the exile on Main Street. Dub...In all seriousness, this isn't about making fun of Spencer but its really about making fun of ourselves and the multiple threads. Spencer getting married and coming to Iowa was brought up by one of our posters (ahem, IHawk)...He was being serious. After getting slapped down on here, and some complaining about the number of Lee threads from outsiders and other boards, hilarity ensues. I think Lee should come to Iowa because Tom and Terry will be the coaches that will take him to the next level...that and he seems like a great kid who loves the sport. His parents have done an outstanding job. One can never have enough high character kids on your team...if he happens to be out of this world talented, so much the better.
