Carton- Ohio State, assume you knew about this one
Locure- South Alabama
HIlmer- Upper Iowa for basketball and baseball
Where is Hutchison from Linn-Mar in the discussion? Isn't he going to South Alabama also? If so, what is the connection between South Alabama and Iowa high school talent?

I'd think Bowen Born would be pretty high up there as well.

North Linn averages 93 PPG. 2nd place- DSM North averages 82 PPGA's PPG look good. But his FG% show he's a chucker.
B is super efficient. Scores 26.6 on high field goal percentage.
C must score of assist all of his team's baskets. He's directly responsible for like 45 points a game through scores or assist.
North Linn must be really good and/or their competition must be really bad.
Some of their wins:
111-29 (won by 82)
107-36 (won by 75)
109-35 (won by 74)
101-28 (won by 73)
107-34 (won by 73)
104-36 (won by 68)
98-41 (won by 57)
81-25 (won by 56)
80-27 (won by 53)
88-36 (won by 52)
88-40 (won by 44)
For the most part, it's the latter. They've played 3-4 decent teams, but most of their competition is pretty bad. That's not to say they aren't an excellent team, they absolutely are. But their stats should be taken with a grain of salt. They are going out of their way to destroy bad teams. There was a NL parent/fan/some sort of familiarity with the team on Iowa preps last year bragging that they took their press off in the 3rd qtr of a game (they were leading by about 60 at halftime) and that they emptied their bench in the early 4th qtr, thinking that was being charitable. Why would you press a team, with your starters, the entire 1st half of a game you are leading by 50 in?
Very good team. They overmatch pretty much all of the competition they face during the season. I have no idea what their team gets out of beating teams by 60-70 points. I don't know all the particulars, but found it amusing when they complained in the state tournament about the kid from Grandview Christian. No one is going to feel sorry for you when you are destroying everyone by 50 points and when you finally play a team that is close to ability, your response is to complain.
Did the hawks make a mistake by not going after locure?
If Locure is Player A, then one can only hope he is going to the foul line a lot.
Otherwise, when you're averaging 30 points a game but shooting 43% from the field and 29% from behind the arc you are shooting way too much. Those percentages are woeful.
So, either Locure is getting most of his points from the free throw line or he is a ball hog. At any rate, Iowa is not missing out.
