I say:
Conner
Fredrick
Weezy
Kriener
Garza
First man in joe t for kriener. Then you slowly sub in pemsl, Bakari, and maybe till. The challenge is going to be keeping outside shooters or Garza on the court at every point of the game. I really hope pmac isn’t done for the year. We are starting to look really thin with not enough outside threats.

Patrick suddenly becomes a kind of important part. Need the shooters and bodies at this point.

I don’t like that lineup with Kreiner starting. That’s a bad idea for defense and what do we do if both big men pick up two early fouls?

Joe T needs to start and play 4 guards which has been really effective.

Tousaint starts.

Eveyln becomes a much bigger part of the rotation. I think hes going to improve allot with more pt.

Hes not in the flow right now from playing so few minutes and hesitating but I can see some glimpses of ability that hasn't shown itself yet.

7 man rotation and hopefully Pat can come back sooner than later.

Toussaint is the obvious beneficiary but Bakari Evelyn is now a very important element of this team's success going forward IMO. I believe his minutes will increase significantly now.

Agree. Evelyn has had a rough start, but he has the athleticism and experience and I think he will step up to help lead this team.

Can't really start Ryan. He's the only sub for Garzilla. Can't have Ryan and the 'Zilla both in early foul trouble. Cordell has not looked good, clearly the injuries have affected his vertical and quickness.

I think its got to be down to Bakari or Joe T. I can see benefits and liabilities to both. Joe T has the bigger upside but he is young and sometimes plays HUTA ball. Bakri hasn't done anything really good or bad from which to take note-in itself a sign that he's steady if nothing else.

When was the last time Iowa was down to 8 active scholly players? You can win with 8 guys, with some luck, but pretty hard to win with just 7.

I remember a time when Alford only had 8 bodies. I'll have to go back and find the year.

Well there has historically been a lot of grumbling when Fran tried to go 10-11 deep. Now he doesn’t seem to have much choice past the top 7. We will see how a tight rotation fares under Fran.
We already have this season. The smaller lineup and shorter rotation has been key to them having success this year. I like Nunge and Pmac, but I think if they were healthy we would actually have a worse record.

Looks like it was when Horner and Brunner were freshman. Alford was basically going 7 deep in 2002-03 with 8 scholarship guys total. Back when Kurt Spurgeon was getting minutes...

Penske will give 10-15 minutes. I know he’s a shell of himself but o imagine he will have some positive games. Till gives 5 minutes of energy.

I think it's all going to depend on who they play. If we go up against a team with a solid big man, I just don't think you can play Kreiner and Garza together. They are going to get worn down and if one of them gets into early fouls trouble you could be screwed for 10-12 minutes. At the same time you down want to run out the four guards and give up a ton of size. We are going to need Pemsl and Bakari to be at least a factor on the offensive end. We don't need them to put up 8-10 points each a game but they are going to need to make a few baskets and make teams respect them. It's going to be interesting the rest of the way though.

Hope not with Evelyn. You can spread Bohannons 25 MPG among Toussaint, Fredrick, Wieskamp and Connor and keep Evelyn in his current role.

Umm no. Wieskamp is already playing 30 minutes, Connor is at 27.8 and CJ is playing 26 minutes per game. It would be idiotic to have those 3 play an additional 4 to 6 minutes each. Give Toussaint the major chunk of Bohannon's minutes and the split the rest between Evelyn, Kriener and hope Till can give the Hawks 4 to 6 minutes each game.

Kriener has unfortunately not shown up this year I don't like him starting but I hope he figures it out he has a lot of potential but a Senior it probably is what it is at this point.

I can't remember ever seeing a player on a D1 court look as out of place as Pemsl does right now. And yes I remember Lickliter.

I think there's a better chance of him giving up basketball this year than of him playing 15 minutes a game this year.

Kriener is the same as he always is. Inconsistent on offense and solid but foul prone on defense.

His inconsistency is mostly a result of lack of PT.

Hes had the unfortunate luck of being at Iowa the same time as a couple uncommonly good players in Garza and Cook.

Normally he would have played allot more and been viewed as a pretty solid player.

He'll be instrumental in a few wins this year.

Yeah, he is definitely struggling and physically doesn’t look great. I would not be at all surprised if he hangs it up after this year. That being said, he seems like a competitor and I could see him giving whatever he’s got for the remaining 20 or so games.

Ehh I hear ya but I'm not sure about that, it can look pretty rough at times, after 2 maybe 3 years what we got sure but doing what we've seen now. Don't agree. He should be in the 1st wave off the bench tops.

I included Toussaint in my list to get Bohannons minutes.

Toussaint- 12 more MPG
Wieskamp- 4
Connor- 4
Fredrick- 5

The idiotic thing to do would be to play Evelyn more. He is the worst guy in the rotation by a large margin and you want to increase his role? LOL

This presents a great opportunity for Toussaint and Evelyn,... more minutes and increased responsibility will give both of these guys a chance to take ownership and shine...

Garza, Wieskamp, Frederick and Conor McC will all have to play 30+ minutes barring injuries or foul trouble. Against ISU, Garza played 34, Conor played 31, Frederick played 32 and Wieskamp 33. That was with Bohannon playing 26 minutes. My guess, only a guess, is that most of Bohannon's minutes will go to Toussaint and Evelyn. Kriener played 18 minutes against ISU, I would guess his minutes could go up slightly as well. For all the bitching about Kriener, he's performing pretty well this season in the role. His effective FG%, TS%, and rebounding % stats are very similar to Garza's. Note, I'm not saying he's as good as Garza or that he should be playing as much as Garza, just he's giving Iowa good minutes. His issue has always been turning the ball over a lot (still the case this year) and fouling a lot. Good, solid role player as a big man. Can start in a pinch if needed and will have 2-3 games per year where he goes for big offensive numbers. That type of player is valuable.

Kreiner, JBo's best friend, has some skills and, although he's been inconsistent most of his career, that's partly due to inconsistent minutes. It's my hope and belief that he will step up big-time in Jordan's absence. A senior on a mission who will be playing for two guys, watch out for major contributions the rest of the way from Ryan Kreiner.

Conner
CJF
JoeW
Kreiner
Garza

First off the bench is JoT

Think our X factor is Kreiner. He has shown flasher of brilliance over his career so they need that consistently now. Hopefully that comes with more constant minutes. You can also go small with JoT, Conner, CJF and JoeW, Garza. This would be closest to our lineup with JBO in.
