@Scruddy posted a Twitter link on another thread listing some of the new Argentina government's actions. I found myself wondering how many of those would be popular here. Because there are more than 10 on the list, and some of the numbers don't quite translate, I made a few small modifications. Here's the original list so you can see the changes I made, if you care.

-Eliminated 12 out of 21 cabinet posts
-Firing 5,000 government employees
-Ending 380k government regulations
-Banned woke language in the military
-Bill to affirm the right to self-defense
-Bill to legalize homeschooling of kids
-Proposal to punish all riot organizers
-Future welfare cuts for road-blocking
-Legalized paying contracts in bitcoin
-Privatization of state-run companies
-Opened up the Argentina oil industry

I voted for a lot of the choices. I favor federalism in general, especially in areas like public education. There's obviously and definitely a place for the federal government, but there's way too much federal overreach and regulations.

I have mixed feelings on the privatization of federal programs. In general I think the public sector (when acting in good faith) will always be more efficient at getting things done. However, there are some functions i think should be kept in the hands of the government with prison being one of them. There are some ethical concerns I have about anyone profiting off of imprisoning people.

Sounds like a slow roll to becoming Russia. Several rich oligarchs develop overtime, that are totally dependent and loyal to their dictator, along with a huge and growing peasant population. Hope they enjoy the ride.
The peasant population can't get much worse than it was under previous leadership. They've had triple digit inflation due to their monetary policies

There is little I agree with you on but I definitely agree that profiting off imprisoning people should never happen

Why don’t you just move to a socialist country?

For once Scruddy, I agree with you. Incarceration should not be a for-profit enterprise.

I'm on board with cutting many government employees and taking the woke shit out of the military. My time spent with a service member recently involved a conversation regarding a green beret that had recently transitioned male to female. He brought up several topics I had not even thought of. Example, what happens when you are on a multi day/week mission and the person transitioning doesn't have access to hormones? What is the response when you are in a Muslim country trying to peace keep and their reception to said person? We can't force American wokeism on them and we need positive relations. I'm also in favor of drilling more for oil. That resource is only going to be valuable foe so long and we have a shit ton of it. If you organize a riot, you shouldn't get government assistance, there is a large difference between freedom of speech and organizing a riot.

Those companies probably shouldn’t be allowed to trade on a stock exchange either. Nor give unlimited donations to politicians that make sure the prisons stay full. Pushing agendas for mass incarcerations of drug users or lowering the amount of education funding for certain populations.

The language on penalties for rioters would need to be very clearly spelled out as I believe politicians could potentially abuse said policy to go after anyone even if they're peacefully protesting. Thinking specifically of how Trudeau declared the truckers protest a riot despite zero property damage, physical violence or threats simply because they called him out for his fascist behavior. No better way to co firm those sentiments than freezing the bank accounts of anyone who even donated to said protest. As I said, easily exploitable potentially.

I dont have any problem with encouraging home schooling. It's the parents job to ensure an education any way.

Assuming that the parents are qualified, or can be confirmed to actually be teaching some sort of curriculum.

Something that is sadly lacking in most states here.

Do you believe all parents are qualified to teach?

No.

Also, how many of the inner city Baltimore kids are homeschooled?
Last school year, Baltimore City had 1,593 homeschoolers. In Baltimore County, there were 5,720 homeschooled students, a 52 percent increase since 2019. The only district in Maryland with more homeschoolers is Anne Arundel County at 6,282, a 122 percent increase since before Covid.

Baltimore county schools have 111,136 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 14 to 1.

Do you know if they have performed better than public school students in the same districts?

Is anything else even mathematically possible?

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore City is facing a devastating reality as the latest round of state test scores are released.

Project Baltimore analyzed the results and found a shocking number of Baltimore City schools where not a single student is doing math at grade level.

The Maryland State Department of Education recently released the 2022 state test results known as MCAP, Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program.

Baltimore City’s math scores were the lowest in the state. Just 7 percent of third through eighth graders tested proficient in math, which means 93 percent could not do math at grade level.

But that’s not all; Project Baltimore combed through the scores at all 150 City Schools where the state math test was given.

Project Baltimore found, in 23 Baltimore City schools, there were zero students who tested proficient in math. Not a single student.

“It just sounds like these schools, now, have turned into essentially babysitters with no accountability,” said Patterson. “This is the future of our city. We’ve got to change this.”

So my question remains, what if parents can’t ensure an education by public schooling? e.g. Baltimore.

Not answering the question.

Not answering the question.
They’re either tied with zero, or better.
Those are the options at those schools.

If you find a more definitive answer to your question, by all means share it.
I never promised to have all your answers, but I’ll answer every question as best I can.

My question to you is: what if parents can’t ensure an education by public schooling? e.g. Baltimore.

No. You didn't answer my question. I need evidence that homeschooled kids do better in the same districts. You always evade the question.

Do you understand they can’t do worse than zero?

It’s either as bad, or better for kids facing those public schools.

If you asking me for more data than that simple logic I’m not evading when I tell you I don’t have it. If it’s out there please share it.

My question to you remains, what if parents can’t ensure an education by public schooling? e.g. Baltimore.

Should they have competing, and as importantly attuned options, or be stuck with a bureaucratic monopoly to try and best meet their needs?

I don’t look first or fondest to Soviet methods of service and product delivery, but by god some people can’t shake the appeal.
I don’t get it, so I ask them questions.

Do you have proof or data or statistics that show that homeschooled kids in the same districts you are speaking of in Baltimore perform better? Yes or no?
