if so please talk about the game. Impressive win by ND today.

For some reason I don't detest their hoops team.

I was at the game. ND is good. Our shots were not falling. was standing in line for the morning coffee at the hotel the next day and Brey was in front of me. Good guy. Very complimentary of Fran ... almost Izzo like .. :D

ND is a very good team. I think they will be a top 25 team. I only saw the end of the game today versus Duke, and they were the tougher team. I did not get to see the ND - Iowa game, but it could have gone either way.

Funny, I saw an analyst on ESPN (might have been Steve Smith) jumping on the Iowa bandwagon (like a lot of other talking heads), but showing that he didn't bother to really look Iowa's record. Said something like "They had a couple of bad losses early in the season, but they have it rolling now." Iowa has no bad losses. ND, Dayton and ISU are all really good teams. With a little more luck, Iowa could have won any of those games.

Iowa is playing extremely well. I only hope that the fan base doesn't raise its expectations too high. Hawks are going to lose some games, because the B1G has a bunch of good teams. Let's beat UM tomorrow, and then look at who is next...

Notre Dame was our worst performance of the year. It was an early morning game and the exact opposite environment from the night before when a very partisan Dayton crowd created a ton of energy.

Our team settled for a ton of long 2s and contested 3s; we did not defend. Coach Brey, like Fran, is an excellent offensive coach: they were slicing us up.

Fran had not settled on a rotation at this point, and the pieces just were not meshing. Ironically, the unfortunate injury to Dale perhaps has helped in this regard; Baer clearly had to step up and our current 8-9 man rotation was born.

Getting back on topic: the Hawkeyes stormed back, but were not able to maintain their runs as is so often the case when making a comeback. I'd liken Notre Dame on par with many of the top half of the B1G.

The game was actually at night.
