yeah, obviously he doesn't follow Iowa football....I was scratching my head at that comment as well...Only 13 guys from the portal. Only.

Why go to a place where you're equal with the players?I like this guy, might be in NFL soon
yeah, that is crazy - ND was not much better....you'd think they could field a bunch of 5 stars...Is it true that PSU receivers had 0 catches and 0 yards? Starting to feel better about our WR corps already.
yup, much better chance IMHO - CAL/Stanford will never be replicated....Kick return is one of most electrifying game changers. I’d have tried to take that one.
Not. So. Fast.Ohio State will thump Notre Dame. I picked OSU before the playoffs. Maybe Texas can beat them, but I think OSU has the better defense and will put up points.
PSU fans are probably yearning for The Captain (aka Turtle Man) right after that pick.....you just knew a pick was coming after the announcers said he would not throw it in harms way....50 TDs 9 INTs..... er 10 INTs now.The 1st run play ripped off 15 yards, should have ran again.
But if you trust your QB.... he can't make that thow. That's something he's going to live with for the rest of his life. Hope he has good people around him.
To their credit, both teams were trying to win at the end. ND passed before they had to punt.PSU fans are probably yearning for The Captain (aka Turtle Man) right after that pick.....you just knew a pick was coming after the announcers said he would not throw it in harms way....50 TDs 9 INTs..... er 10 INTs now.
Agreed - ND also passed right before the winning FG. It is refreshing to see HCs try to win vs. not trying not to lose.....To their credit, both teams were trying to win at the end. ND passed before they had to punt.
ND played “Kirk ball” the last 3 minutes…PSU played “star ball” at the end and got burned by their own mistakes and greed.Agreed - ND also passed right before the winning FG. It is refreshing to see HCs try to win vs. not trying not to lose.....
I love Phil, but I was really envious seeing ND blitzing so much too....
Especially with his statement about coaching, very respectful and professional way to divert attention from "race" to what is needed in the sport.Freeman extremely likeable.
That was a horrible decision by Allar on that last pick, should know to NEVER throw back across and late to the middle.ND played “Kirk ball” the last 3 minutes…PSU played “star ball” at the end and got burned by their own mistakes and greed.
Worst part is that probably wasn’t even his worst throw of the game. Good example of why good QB play is so important in big time games. That was a horrible decision by Allar on that last pick, should know to NEVER throw back across and late to the middle.
Kirk would have never allowed that play to be called. Boring Kirk…not playing to “win”…. But also not playing to “lose” either…this game should have gone to OT except someone got greedy…and Greed is one of the 7 Deadly Sins. That was a horrible decision by Allar on that last pick, should know to NEVER throw back across and late to the middle.
Pretty sure that'd be frowned upon, but you're more than welcome to try your luck.Quick question: if cheerleader holds “ get loud” sign in my face , can I hold a “get naked” sign in her face? Assuming we are both legal age?
I thought BF was a consultant at Maryland, not PSU.Is it true that PSU receivers had 0 catches and 0 yards? Starting to feel better about our WR corps already.
Oh and don't forget they don't have to share any of that revenue. Screw that school. Why go to a place where you're equal with the players?
He can go to the college playoffs every year and has one of the best jobs in football. African American coach, easy recruiting of most Catholic kids, one of the biggest alumni in the country for NIL funds, one of the best trademark schools in the country.
That's not even close to true. Penn St took over around the 20 and got a 10-12 yard gain? I'm guessing if they had gained a yard or 2 they probably just continue to run and play for OT. 59 seconds I believe was plenty of time from the 32 yard line to get into field goal range. Allar had plenty of time to throw, he hesitated and then the pressure came. If he tosses it away and lives to see another day they well might have gotten into field goal range. Far from star ball. The guy has 50 TD's and 9 picks for his career at that point, you expect better decisions from your veteran QB.ND played “Kirk ball” the last 3 minutes…PSU played “star ball” at the end and got burned by their own mistakes and greed.
Wow I actually agree w/you for once in my life.Especially with his statement about coaching, very respectful and professional way to divert attention from "race" to what is needed in the sport.
Penn State OC actually called a pretty solid game. Plenty of first half passing plays that should’ve been money including the 90 yd TD wheel route to the HB Allars air mailed. Mediocre QB and WR play sank them. The few times Allar hit quick passes in the 2nd half it opened that running game up again…he just sucks tbh.
You heard it here first. He will be the new coach in Pittsburgh very soon, especially if Tomlin is ousted in round 1 of the playoffs again. The Steelers live by the Rooney rule and Freeman will get a serious look if they move on.Why go to a place where you're equal with the players?

Unfortunately, yes. And that hurts me to say that haha.Sounds like you want Ohio State to win it all….process of elimination
ND played “ conservative ” and punted the ball to PSU late in the 4th.. they allowed Penn State to get greedy, throw a bad/illadvised pass, intercepted it, ran a couple of base rushing plays, snuck a key short pass in there and got the ball into prime FG position, set up the FG and won the game. That's not even close to true. Looked and smelled an awful lot like “Kirk ball” to me. Especially Kirk in the last 3 minutes of a tight game. Couldn’t help but smile. I have seen Kirk do the very sane thing to Franklin a couple if times in the past few years at Kinnick.

dont be so sure. Rooney made it clear he expects some playoff wins. if PIT loses big it's a possibility they move on.Tomlin isn't going anywhere. They just extended him through 2027. They revel in mediocrity just like Iowa.
This season ND was a notorious lacking football team when it came to throwing the ball.Notre Dame won because they can pass the ball. Penn State lost because they can't.
