You have the Big Ten the same way I have been pushing for a few years. One nice thing about is that it puts Indiana and Purdue in the same division. Also, with the addition of Texas it would toughen up the West. Kansas helps in basketball. Both of these schools are AAU schools also.

I don't believe that the PAC-12 would take BYU (for religious reasons). I think the PAC-12 would take Oklahoma & OSU along with Texas Tech and either Iowa St. or KSU.

Baylor & TCU would move to the SEC

W. Va would be back with Pitt in the ACC and ND can do whatever they want.

I can hear the screaming ames (and Austin) from here in san antonio

Interesting topic. Assuming we're talking football exclusively here, there is simply NO logical or defensible argument for leaving Kansas State out and including Kansas.

In all seriousness, KU should consider dropping football as a scholarship sport and put all its resources into basketball. At this point there's very little evidence to support a contention that the Jayhawks would be a competitive FCS team, let alone one of the FBS "Power 64".

Academically, K-State is bad, as it is in basketball, and was in football before and after (BS briefly quit) Snyder. When Snyder leaves, not sure they will be a good program again. Kansas will always be good in basketball, and is AAU, like Texas is.

4x16 is not going to happen.

On the contrary, it is entirely possible and makes a whole lot of sense. Sixteen teams with divisional and/or pod play leading to eight teams vying for conference championships which dovetails perfectly with the current four-team playoff to determine a national champ.

Sure it's possible. Would it be the right thing to do, or is it even necessary?

Never. Not even after they make the decision to do this and we're 5 years into the 64- team set up would this ever have been a good idea or something they should've followed through with. Thank you.

The two posts seem to contradict one another. In the first case, it is wrong to even consider a sixty-four team division - because someone thinks/says so. Yet, in the following post, it is proposed to do just that.

Did I miss the sarcasm?

KState would be in vs KU.
Texas would prefer P12 or SEC over B1GW
